The diary entries on the Tumblr are Maxson's diary entries which were found in Fallout 1/2. They look like copy-pastes unless there is some additional information that Tumblr can give us that wasn't revealed in the games themselves.
I would like a prequel, something like Fallout 0 a game where you start as a young teen before the war, you could choose in high school to become a mechanic ( repair + melee ) a scientist ( science + energy weapons) a politician ( Speech + Barter ) or soldier ( Small weapons + survival )... You could also have a small quest where you date a girl or a boy etc...Maybe kick some people for the suspect of being "Communists spies"...Or steal some gas for your car and lose some Karma. Then the bombs fall, you hide in the school, then you could see the first raider gangs form, join one of them. Maybe rescue your possible gf/bf from before the war from one of those raiders...etc.
You get a quest at the malt shop for a moral-choice quest tutorial:
The prom's in a month. Do you take Betty or Veronica?

Not to be rude, but I think you're mistaking Fallout for a different RPG series.
Fallout 4 would've been radical if it were to take place in Toronto, Canada.

As much shit as people get for suggesting Fallout in a different country, Canada is one of the only places I could think of it working what with the near identical culture and the in-universe annexation of Canada for the delicious oi-I mean freedom.

Snatched it off of Reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1qsejv/fallout_4_trademarked_by_bethesda_softworks/
Let's hope it's the real deal!
I don't understand why people keep stating, "The Fallout universe wouldn't fit in XYZ!"
The fact that places like Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America are not extensively discussed leaves them open for massive creative freedom. For example with the Middle East and Europe: They were warring for roughly three to four decades, are you guys honestly saying that at no period of time that these groups were not making bomb shelters in order to protect themselves against explosives, and that people from the MEC and European Commonwealth didn't extensively go, "yeah, america and china are gonna kill each other.... we might want some vaults" and start building them?
What about the USSR? The USSR and USA were on good terms in Fallout Lore, and as indicated by the Playboy guy from Fallout 3, the USSR is still kicking in some form or another.
The creative freedom which is left wide-open thanks to the game being so USA centric is astonishing! Imagine a game taking place in the USSR where several of the SSRs broke apart, and are warring with each other for the little living lands. Imagine the game taking place in the massive urbanized centers of Europe! All these places can easily be made possible, and in most cases, the factions and concepts of culture would be differing so far that it would create a new and refreshing experience.

Nobody's saying people there weren't shelters and stuff in other countries, we're saying who gives a shit about other countries. The Fallout series is heavily America-centric in both story and theme, and it's nowhere near exhausted it's potential enough to just drop the story and all thematic elements just to see what's going on in other countries.

I like the idea of other countries being in similar situations as america, but sending over like explorers or scientists over to the other parts to find useful stuff and record the situation.
This just came up:

Its Cavaldez.
Johnny Cavaldez
I just noticed that the twitter banner from the 12072299 account seems to have some hidden image on it too, has anyone thought of applying some wizard image editing to that too?
Its Cavaldez.

Yeah, I can't read shit. I think I need glasses. That, or I need to learn how to read cursive writing better.
Three Dog's voice actor is making some serious teases on his twitter.
Yeah but hes been doing that for over six months. It's also interesting to note that there were rumors back during E3 that Fallout 4 was shown behind closed doors and that it would be based around Boston, and so far this whole debacle has been playing off of that theme as well. Bethesda and E3 people denied everything back then about it though. I saw that the day after I posted here about finding polish words within much of the javascript for the site that some people on neogaf traced the hosting down to a polish provider, pretty weird.
This is probably gonna sound crazy as hell but listen:
If this whole thing is legit, and the protagonist in FO4 is referred to as "the Survivor", and the game does take place in Massachusetts, then the protagonist might be one of those highly advanced Androids built by the Institute, it was referenced a lot in FO3 and we've seen first hand that their Androids can not only visually pass as humans but are capable of processing human levels of sentience.
If they did this they could also tie changing your character's appearance at the start of the game into the story, Harkness had to do this in order to escape the Institute, if the player escaped them they would have to do it as well.
The protagonist could be called the Survivor because as far as anyone knows you're the only "human" that escaped the Institute alive after an Android uprising occurred (an event you started in order to escape).
[editline]16th November 2013[/editline]
Bethesda loves having you start out as a prisoner so this kind of fits their theme.
Wasn't there already a mission in FO3 involving a hunt for an escaped android which how we know anything about the commonwealth to begin with? Harkness or something? I remember some guy called Armitage being there as well.
Yeah, you had to choose between saving Harkness or convincing Armitage (or maybe it was Zimmer?) that he was dead.
Think it was Zimmer, Armitage was his bodyguard android iirc - I was amused by the name of the mission at the time because it was a reference to BladeRunner, The Replicated Man I think it was called.
If all the lore is right and you play as an android, then it seems likely your biggest enemy is going to be the Synth Retention Bureau.

Yep they are both Rivet City characters, Armitage is the bodyguard for the Commonwealth guy.
I can't wait to discover a bunch of songs from the 60's again.

Heres hoping for Louis Armstrong songs.
I just want a new Fallout game
but I don't want it to be written by bethesda
I've loved this series since I was a kid man and Fallout 3 is fun as fuck I love it but good god it's just so badly written and shits on the lore
I pray to any deity listening
give me obsidian writers
recent arg image had a picture from deviantart
its all a sham
I really hope they go full extreme with that one, either make it completely manic where nothing makes sense and everyone is a lunatic like in Hokuto No Ken or make it overly dark and grim to the point where everything you see and do is depressing as fuck.
Just make it memorable.
[sp]Then again this is probably all a scam but a man can dream god damn it[/sp]

But your whole reasoning behind that, the games being US-centric, is EXACTLY the point why the games work so well, its based around an apocalyptic vision of what 1950's America thought the future would be like, it wouldnt work in any other country except maybe Canada.
Is that morse code on the front page?
