But your whole reasoning behind that, the games being US-centric, is EXACTLY the point why the games work so well, its based around an apocalyptic vision of what 1950's America thought the future would be like, it wouldnt work in any other country except maybe Canada.
I would like a Fallout game in Canada solely because I live there. And you do to, apparently. Ain't it nice? I certainly would like one where I could stomp across the frozen north woods and then have big toronto style cities [editline]17th November 2013[/editline]
Would it have a ruler like Mr. House, but instead he's a crack head? I'm talking about Rob Ford*. *Mayor of Toronto.. crack head.*
Honestly man honestly we're so fucking embarassed about that I'm sorry rest of the world
I think it's safe to rule out the Tumblr as fake
new post on the tumblr..
…/>NEW ENTRY = 18 HRS ||| (cry)

Cry? Now what does that mean? Maybe the next update will make the Fallout fanbase cry or something by revealing all this as a hoax? [sp]pls no i was only joking[/sp]
you know it's funny I don't get hyped for ARG's the way I used to I would much prefer them to stop fucking around and just say "YEAH FALLOUT 4" because the thing is I'm going to buy it no matter what I can complain about it being Bethesda but I'll fucking pre-order the collectors edition regardless of trailers I'm that much of a Fallout whore so stop teasing my cock bethesda just give me a location and a release date

I want to see a Fallout in Ohio, [del]because I live there[/del] so I could fight giant mutant frogs from an even worse Lake Erie, in my own yard.
The tumblr is obviously fake
problem with Fallout canada is that it'd be fucking littered in Yaoi Guai like crazy and we have hardly any guns up here it'd all be axe combat which doesn't sound so bad the beard options would be sick radical
Snatched it off of Reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1qsejv/fallout_4_trademarked_by_bethesda_softworks/ Let's hope it's the real deal!
They could also be doing that to shut down the fake ARG.
Great post on reddit with some evidence for and against it http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/1qrzkq/the_survivor_2299_speculation_and_hype_megathread/cdfurv5
If anything this is most likely a fan-made mod.
why I want Obsidian over Bethesda
From my entirely untrained ear and a morse code guide I picked up off google images it sounds like it's just reading off the numbers on the screen in morse code
I can't wait to discover a bunch of songs from the 60's again.
But Fallout is a lot more 50s than 60s.
If this is all fake, someone is wasting a load of money and time and effort. That website is very very stable.
For everyone saying that Fallout 4 is probably going to be on the same engine as Skyrim, it might not be. I have not seen this posted so I am posting it. They just filed a trademark application for "Void Engine Powered by Id Tech". http://www.gamespot.com/articles/fallout-dishonored-parent-company-trademarks-void-engine/1100-6416178/
New Vegas was weird for me, at first I liked Fallout 3 better because of the desolate and dead feeling to New Vegas's more "rebuilt" feeling (kind of the same way I prefer FO1 to FO2) and because it felt like there wasn't much in the game, but on going back and playing it again there's really so much I haven't even remotely got into, and so many of the quests are actually built around having multiple options for different types of characters and playstyles that it's really quite impressive. Also New Vegas had much more interesting stories than most of beth's games too which is a big plus. I think my first time through i probably felt odd about NV just because it seems like the quests and shit aren't handed up front to the player like they are in FO3.

If I was bethesda I'd just release a trailer with a black screen and wind blowing, and in the last like four seconds just have "THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWGGGGGGGGGGGGGG" go off in every ones ears
I don't understand why people keep stating, "The Fallout universe wouldn't fit in XYZ!" The fact that places like Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America are not extensively discussed leaves them open for massive creative freedom. For example with the Middle East and Europe: They were warring for roughly three to four decades, are you guys honestly saying that at no period of time that these groups were not making bomb shelters in order to protect themselves against explosives, and that people from the MEC and European Commonwealth didn't extensively go, "yeah, america and china are gonna kill each other.... we might want some vaults" and start building them? What about the USSR? The USSR and USA were on good terms in Fallout Lore, and as indicated by the Playboy guy from Fallout 3, the USSR is still kicking in some form or another. The creative freedom which is left wide-open thanks to the game being so USA centric is astonishing! Imagine a game taking place in the USSR where several of the SSRs broke apart, and are warring with each other for the little living lands. Imagine the game taking place in the massive urbanized centers of Europe! All these places can easily be made possible, and in most cases, the factions and concepts of culture would be differing so far that it would create a new and refreshing experience.
every country other than China and America completely collapsed before they could adopt nuclear technology - the resources were so thin by that point that order completely broke down everywhere, the economy failed entirely, everybody was dirt poor, and the apocalypse had basically already happened for everyone but America and China. so 90% of the world would just be a bunch of destroyed shitty buildings with nothing cool in them, since only very few people would have been able to afford robots or energy weapons, and building vaults would have been the least of the government's concern by that point due to worldwide riots and martial law. every single state, country, and nation disintegrated before any of the interesting aspects of Fallout properly came to be. when you get down to it, America pretty much IS the world of Fallout. it's designed so that if you set it in any other country, it would just be a generic apocalyptic wasteland; no interesting 50's bebop style, little to no science fiction elements, just a big nuclear shithole with a bunch of crazy bandits in it. anything set in a place like that shouldn't have the Fallout name.
Fallout 4 should be based in Seattle. Because space needle.
The canceled online one was gonna be in Seattle I think.
