Well, no reason to bother saving anything from the tumblr.

Well by now I’m pretty sure you all caught on that this wasn’t official and it was all just an ARG I created to support Bethesda by creating a shit ton of hype for the the survivor 2299 thing.
I know a few people did because a few of you messaged me on here haha.
The story and characters (with the exception of the survivor) were all created by me, all the audio clips (except for the french poems and few sound effects) were all created by me as well, oh and the posters and pictures, they were all created by me as well.
I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to finish the story! Thing is, from now on I’m going to be way too busy to carry on with all of this now so I’m going to have to wrap things up here sooner than I hoped :( sorry.
You can hate me all you want, I don’t mind and I completely understand, I should have told you from the beginning it was just an ARG. But then again I like to tease.

I might be late on this, but apparently Zenimax (Bethesda's parent company) has filed an official trademark for Fallout 4.

This definitely isn't real, the art style and presentation gives it away (Also, "Air Raid"? weren't there barely any of those in the great war?)
Bethesda would've gone with something a lot more subtle than this.
Another thing I found about "thesurvivor2299.com" is that they have ssh-access open to the internet, with password authentication. It also seems like they are running an outdated version of both Debian, and nginx on the server. No company with respect for their IT-security would do that, so I doubt even that page is real now.

a lot of FONV's quests were bullshit and incredibly short/had no reason to be there other than warnings/etc
FO3 had a lot of really good, drawn out quests that had a lot of heart and meat to them
So what's the verdict, then? The whole thing's fake? Bamboozled?
I wish Bethlehem would just tell us whether or not they are associated with all this 2299 stuff and then start leaking out small teases instead of going "Oooooh well we ain't saying nothing hehehehe" and making everybody confused as fuck.
I feel a huge let-down is imminent.

No one has come out as the owner of the website, so that could still be legit.

If anything the bethesda responds were mostly because they were confused whether or not they had an actual leak or not and had to be vague while sorting it out.
I'm still just as hyped as ever. The Survivor 2299 thing could still be very very real.

I dreamt of a trailer last night.
A lonely swingset was sitting there in the wasteland, and the narrator was giving an awesome monologue. Then after he said "war....war never changes", a vertibird crash landed and exploded. A montage of gameplay footage started playing with an amazing score in the background. The screen cut to black. Fallout 4.....I woke up with chills.
