...eh. i would feel lied to if they had moving trains with cargo and raiders shooting from snowmobiles featured in a trailer, but not in the gameplay. you know gamebryo would piss itself trying to get that to work

It's fun to dream.
Also, I really want to point this out, as I keep running into the misconception. Fallout isn't something themed on the 50s. Bombs dropped in 2077. It's sort of an 80s movie pisstake on certain themes from the 50s, given the whole nuclear family and trust in government and McCarthyism was something that continued happening until shit went down.
Eventually, you're going to run out of wasteland. And I really hope they don't go through with the whole reset notion that certain parties have expressed interest in just so they can keep retreading old ground. Eventually the franchise may need to call it a rest, but there's plenty still that they can be done without renuking everything. You have all sorts of AIs and robots and cyborgs and such. There is so much room for new stories.
