NV was either four years or four months after fallout 3
The first battle of Hoover Dam took place in 2277 http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/First_Battle_of_Hoover_Dam So four years.
Oh man, first a possible Persona 5 announcement on the 24th of this month, now a possible Fallout 4 announcement on Dec. 11. Couple that with the announcements of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III back in June, and now I am literally jittering left and right with excitement. These coming years are going to be spectacular for gaming.
NV was either four years or four months after fallout 3
It's 4 years. Fallout 3 = 2277, Fallout: New Vegas = 2281.
There is also a link to bethsedas youtube channel in a commented line of the source code.
I really hope this is legit, a Fallout game on a more modern version of their engine would be fucking grand.
I wonder if it's going to be set in the Boston area like all the rumours made it to be.
The audio file says bridgeport which is Connecticut's biggest city. Connecticut is pretty much next to Massachusetts? The fact that its registered through GoDaddy makes me pretty certain its fake though.
Bethesda would probably use the American date system of MM/DD/YY So its either fake, or the morse code is something else.
They made Gamebyro more bearable with Skyrim, at least in terms of visuals and stability, all they need to do now is fix the awkward movement and combat. The only thing I'm worried about is the quest & exploration depth, Skyrim turned out to be really disappointing in that regard.
it doesn't feel like you're moving like a person in Bethesda games... it just feels like you're an object that's emulating a person, rather than a person you can really 'feel' the character in other games, but not at all in those games... its just so unnatural... especially since you go STRAIGHT OUTWARD and fall at a PREDEFINED SPEED when on anything steep. You're just a person for pretend. There are no proper calculations for different fall heights where you fall from 5 feet it'll feel like 5 feet, 10 feet it'll feel like 10 feet... its just... you landed. It's so... static, and awkward. Combat doesn't flow nearly like it should in other games, everything is just too statically generic. Skyrim is amazingly atmospheric and yet often times very bland and... off. It's like a "Good" television show that tries way too hard to be a television show, instead of being the adventures of a space captain and her crew, lost in the gamma quadrant... or a young legendary warlock that must protect Prince Arthur without revealing how powerful he really is. EDIT: Useful as well
Fallout New Vegas properly begins October 19th 2281 And the courier got shot by Benny around a week earlier, so technically the story begins on October 11th
I want Obsidian to make it, Bethesda will ruin it.
I really wish people would stop with this shit. Fallout 3 was an great game and Bethesda did an amazing job. Obsidian also did a good job with New Vegas using the tools Bethesda gave them. New Vegas was great and maybe better than 3 but face it, Bethesda did most the work and NV wouldn't exist if 3 didn't.
Y'know what I want? A Fallout game set just after the bombs drop. See how civilization breaks down into raider gangs, isolated settlements and whatnot.
Watch them announce it at the VGA's like they did with Skyrim. That's usually on around mid-December Calling it
Fallout is probably my favourite game series of all time.
The series stopped being great after Fallout 2.
I was introduced with 3. I disagree after playing 1 as and 2.
Has anyone got round to decoding the Morse code? Edit: It apparently says 11/12/13 Date of reveal then?
I almost bounced on you because I thought you meant november 12th, which was 2 days ago. But then I realized you were an ocean away and they do things different there. december 11th makes sense. Does the 11th have any significance? Either in known lore, or perhaps related to release/reveal dates of previous fallout titles?
Whatever it is, I hoped they learned from their mistakes. And for god sake, Please fucking fill up your cities. I was hoping for this: [img_thumb]http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100504194155/fallout/images/f/f7/FNV_concept_art_Vegas_Skyline.jpg[/img_thumb] But got this: [img_thumb]http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/archive/3/31/20110306184351!NewVegasStrip.jpg[/img_thumb] Fucking hell the first thing I did was to travel to that Strip, hoping that it'll be populated and lively. I was so damn disappointed.

If they manage to stop with the whole only having 3 voice actors thing, ditch gamebryo and have obsidian write the story it'll be perfect.
The series stopped being great after Fallout 2.
It stopped being great after I first played F1 when I was a kid.
I think I literally got an erection. [editline]14th November 2013[/editline] Yep, yep I did.
I would like to give beth the benefit of the doubt that they'll make something new and different but I have this annoying feeling it's still going to be skyrim with guns. Still same shitty gamebryo physics and hitscan guns, no new setting, still in the same country. Well, at least they'll pick good music for the pipboy radio.
there's not a single game i want more than a Fallout 4 not even HL3.
If they manage to stop with the whole only having 3 voice actors thing, ditch gamebryo and have obsidian write the story it'll be perfect.
New Vegas actually had around 50-55 voice actors, DLC not withstanding. It's just that they all voiced fairly minor characters and NPCs (except Mr. House, Benny, Lanius, Boone etc.)
I've always wanted to voice act.
I can't edit the OP since I get a blank text box but it's also possible it's not Bethesda who registered the site. [t]http://puu.sh/5icKz.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/5icLj.png[/t]
11.12.13 is a bible reference, btw.
Can we get a Chicago Fallout? I'd like to see something in the Midwest, not connected to the coasts. The backstory behind it is really cool, and it would be a new setting with all the destroyed skyscrapers.
They seriously have to consider throwing GameBryo out, its fucking old, and the engine can't even handle alot of stuff other engines could. I'll love to see them using some form of Cryengine or that Outerra engine.
Fallout Tactics was set in the Midwest.
Fallout Tactics was set in the Midwest.
I know, but it didn't really fit into the RPG style of the rest of the games.
it'd use the same engine as skyrim, which will be nice
I don't want to see that atrocious trash again, and the probability they will use that keeps me absolutely without any positive anticipation.
