instead of being the adventures of a space captain and her crew, lost in the gamma quadrant...
Delta Quadrant*
I like how he asks where the settlers of megaton get their food as he's looking at a trader right outside the city gate.
Where does the trader get his food? How does he feed an entire town with supplies carried by a single brahmin?
I remember one time I had a dream that I was at E3 and Todd Howard came up on to the stage with the shittiest grin ever and said "It's here" All the lights went off and the Fallout theme boomed through every single speaker in the hall and there was a brief glimpse of the vault symbol and then "FALLOUT 4" came up. I was really annoyed when I woke up and realised it wasn't real.
Where does the trader get his food? How does he feed an entire town with supplies carried by a single brahmin?
There are probably farmers who live far from the dc area (and thus far from the super mutants/brotherhood), and that one trader isn't the only trader in the entire game, much less the only trader who goes to megaton.
Looks like there is a countdown timer now.
Fallout wouldn't work outside of the US, a big part of the game is American culture.
[del]China might work.[/del] Nevermind, I have a lack of Fallout lore knowledge.
Has it been figured out that this is fake and a godaddy.com domain yet?
There are probably farmers who live far from the dc area (and thus far from the super mutants/brotherhood), and that one trader isn't the only trader in the entire game, much less the only trader who goes to megaton.
These are never mentioned anywhere. So the food basically appears from nowhere. There's a couple rotating traders, still not enough to feed a town. You'd need a full-fledged caravan for that.
I remember one time I had a dream that I was at E3 and that faggot Todd Howard came up on to the stage with the shittiest grin ever and said "It's here" All the lights went off and the Fallout theme boomed through every single speaker in the hall and there was a brief glimpse of the vault symbol and then "FALLOUT 4" came up. I was really angry when I woke up and realised it wasn't real.
That wasn't a very nice way to talk about another person that you've never met and hasn't done anything to you. I bet you're the life of every party you go to.
A lot and I mean a lot of stuff got cut. The strip was hit hard, losing tons of content. Welcome to deadlines.
Still better than Fallout 3's Washington DC split into dozens of tiny segments separated by subways.
Fallout England? It could still work, you just need to apply that atmosphere correctly with the place. Hell Fallout England could work very well because Moriarty from FO3 was the son of an immigrant from the British Isles.
It already exists
Whatever it is, I hoped they learned from their mistakes. And for god sake, Please fucking fill up your cities. I was hoping for this: [img_thumb]http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100504194155/fallout/images/f/f7/FNV_concept_art_Vegas_Skyline.jpg[/img_thumb] But got this: [img_thumb]http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/archive/3/31/20110306184351!NewVegasStrip.jpg[/img_thumb] Fucking hell the first thing I did was to travel to that Strip, hoping that it'll be populated and lively. I was so damn disappointed.
I try to skip the Vegas part of New Vegas lol just too boring for my taste.
I disagree. Of course the games are set in America stuck in the 50's, but why does it only have to be America? Seriously? Hell, we could even say Mexico for a Fallout game and it'd probably have more support then a Chinese Fallout just because you could tie Mexico in with events in the last game due to relatively short distance from CA/NV/AZ. I'd just want a Chinese Fallout so it's a new game creating new material. It could still tie into the other games but be unique as well. Or Fallout Brazil. What happened to South America? Fallout England? It could still work, you just need to apply that atmosphere correctly with the place. Hell Fallout England could work very well because Moriarty from FO3 was the son of an immigrant from the British Isles.
A Fallout Mexico could work but I honestly don't think that Fallout should completely dedicate one of its main games to China.
If Bethesda REALLY made the website, how come theres no bugs HUH? [sp]i still want to believe though[/sp]
I'd be happy with Bethesda making it as long as they hired some really good writers instead of using their own. Even if the gameplay and visuals were incredible it could all be let down by poor dialogue and a clichéd storyline.
The whole Morse code is actually : SK 1312.11.13 1.14
A Fallout Mexico could work but I honestly don't think that Fallout should completely dedicate one of its main games to China.
That would be really interesting but if they were going to do it I imagine it'd be in a DLC, having a full game not set in the US would be drawing too far away from the main "Fallout" theme [editline]1[/editline] my merge
Also note the commented out file referring to Fall River, which is in Massachusetts. Same area of the US as Bridgeport, but a pretty big distance between the two. Maybe we'll get some form of travel, or perhaps even a huge world. First would probably be more likely, though.
holy shit the new fallout has to do with the city i live in what WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOH
look forward to see those racketeers release a overhyped unfinished game just so the consumers have to make and finish the game themselves
yes this here is the perfect definition of a racket this poster knows exactly what he's talking about and didn't type this out of juvenile spite after running into a bug
you know here in fall river we have like a battleship cove and mills and shit just imagine that guys shiiiit [t]http://wac.450f.edgecastcdn.net/80450F/fun107.com/files/2013/10/Braga_Bridge_2012_Cropped.jpg[/t]

I would just like to have a Fallout game where there is just one spot where it actually feels like a sizable population are living there and not having the size of a town being smaller than my house.
Go play stalker then. Good riddance.
Wow OK I was trying to be nice about it. As usual typical internet response.
I try to skip the Vegas part of New Vegas lol just too boring for my taste.
Try Better New Vegas. It's not a perfect rendition of the concept art but it definitely makes Vegas look larger and less sparse.
I like how he asks where the settlers of megaton get their food as he's looking at a trader right outside the city gate.
Relying on traders for food is the stupidest thing a town could do. With all the people in Megaton you'd need traders bringing only food every day. You also have the problem of where the people of Megaton would get the caps to buy the food, where does Moriarty get his booze from, where does Moira Brown get her materials, where does the doctor get his medical supplies? The more you dig the more ridiculous the whole situation becomes.
yes this here is the perfect definition of a racket this poster knows exactly what he's talking about and didn't type this out of juvenile spite after running into a bug
I stand corrected
Also, how is a town like that going to expand to be that big relying solely on traders to get materials?
Cross post from the Fallout thread, in case anyone reads this and not that:
No idea if anyone's noticed yet, but the http://thesurvivor2299.com/ site now references some images in the code: When you try and access any of the images or the site they're on, it automatically redirects you to http://fallout.bethsoft.com/. This is either definitely Fallout, or someone is going quite some way to mess with people. Also note that Bethesda owns the http://prepareforthefuture.com/ site, which was used for advertising Fallout 3 stuff. The wiki goes into it more here.
I have to admit though, F:NV was better in that respect - you had things like trade caravans, small farms dotted around and then the sharecroppers near New Vegas itself. It's also odd Bethesda did that, since all the towns in TES, even Skyrim, were surrounded by at least a few farms, so they obviously know that it adds to the atmosphere of a game.
Honestly, despite any flaws the more recent Fallout games have (3 and NV), they did DLC the absolute perfect way in my opinion. Changed/extended the game's story and side stories, added all new content that was available and compatible with the original game, and was correctly and cleverly put in. They didn't have any bullshit like, "Here, you somehow woke up here at ____ and now, you have to figure shit out because we don't know how to tie it in with the original story." Fallout:NV executed this very, very well with "Lonesome Road", tying NV's story with the DLC to piece things together with some history and backstory. Also, some of the best story telling I've ever seen.
