They they developed the technology for creation engine during the skyrim game jam but never used it. I just want some goddamn solid confirmation that this is real. Also I've been wondering if DD/MM/YYYY is the common format for morse code dates, otherwise if you sent a morse code date across the atlantic it would be really easy to mix them up?
Then it turns out not to be Fallout 4, but instead Fallout Brotherhood of Steel 2.
Bethesda is great at making open world games. Obsidian is great at making open world games, and writing a good story.
And they make a very interesting world at that.
http://12072299.tumblr.com/ I found this from reddit, I don't know if beth would use tumblr but the date is set for the VGA's and that audio file is some high quality editing. If this is a hoax it is pretty elaborate. -pics- The name Vault 74A is pretty interesting considering we've never seen a vault designated that way before hinting at a possible experiment variation.
Wasn't Vault 74 a vault cut from New Vegas?
Can we please have all NPC's killable Bethesda? Why is it that Obsidian can manage to do this but ever since Morrowind Bethesda feels the need to make certain NPC's "essential"? Why can't you think of a more innovative game design instead of inserting artificial band-aids to cover up your failings?
Please please please please please PLEEEEEEAASSE leave it to Obsidian.

It seems kinda lazy, like they don't want to have to think of ways around it if the player does get rid of an NPC that is part of the main quest or something.
I emailed them because of the whole GoDaddy.com thing I assumed it was a fake. I'm not entirely sure what this means but I thought I'd share.

It was a complete step back from Oblivion.

New Vegas allows every NPC to be killed at all times. If you fuck up and kill an important dude, you can't do his quests. Even in the main quest, if you killed an important person you would have to choose one of the other paths to complete the game.
Y'know what I want? A Fallout game set just after the bombs drop. See how civilization breaks down into raider gangs, isolated settlements and whatnot.
I want a game set before AND after.
^You can't kill Yes Man. But that's to insure you always have one way to complete the story missions. I hope the next game carries over NV's leveling/skill system. In New Vegas you actually had to think carefully about picking perks and raising skills to create the character you wanted, whereas in Fallout 3 as long as you found most of the skill books and had Comprehension you'd be master of everything. I remember one of the DLCs for Fallout 3 included a perk that raised all your SPECIAL to 9.
I've just had bad luck with Fallout. My Fallout 3 on the 360 would always freeze and crash so I just got fed up with it. But when I saw how well New Vegas was being talked about I decided to give it a shot for the pc recently. So far it has crashed every single time as soon as the opening cinematic ends and the game starts loading. I want to play the game, but it is starting to wear on me

You CAN kill him, he just comes back. At least he isn't marked "essential".
I really wish people would stop with this shit. Fallout 3 was an great game and Bethesda did an amazing job. Obsidian also did a good job with New Vegas using the tools Bethesda gave them. New Vegas was great and maybe better than 3 but face it, Bethesda did most the work and NV wouldn't exist if 3 didn't.
Fallout 3 wouldn't have even existed in the first place without Obsidian Entertainment, if interplay never created Fo1/2, Bethesda could have never gone on to butcher the source material with Fo3
Weeeeell actually technically you can kill him, it's just that he just pops into another robot.
Yeah, that's what I meant to say. He doesn't truly "die" in the human sense.
Dunno if anyone has mentioned it yet, but bsccountdown.js contains lots of polish words.
As much as a love skyrim *on the whole*, I hope bethesda does not pull the same shit with the skill system for Fallout 4. They are free to screw up their own TES franchise in whatever ways they want, but I hope they possess more respect for the franchise they only purchased 3/4 of the way through, and don't ruin the integrity of it's rather stellar RPG mechanics. Who knows, maybe they took note of the rpg/game mechanic improvements made in new vegas.
Well there was sort of, but it was a reason that was ultimately manufactured by bethesda being lazy with their AI design. Between Dragon and Vampire attacks non essentials get killed really easily and randomly by events the player can't control. Though they could have resolved that by just setting the aggressiveness of non-warrior npcs to 0-20 so they flee from dragons and vampires on sight. Obviously though, they didn't do that, and any shithead wearing a linen shirt and carrying an iron dagger will charge head first into a dragons jaws

After investing 60+ Hours into a playthrough you cant help but look at your completed quests, skills and ectra and feel proud. I remember in particular finishing the Storyline last and i got a rather epic set of choices as i was crossing the bridge to "Nord Valhalla". It brought me back to all of the side questlines and i had a almost big flashback in realising that i ran the Dark Brotherhood,Thieves Guild, Mage's Guild and was on a quest to destroy a Dragon that literally tore the world apart. In my journey to this point, i had Uncovered Conspiracies, Taken Artifacts from Ancient Deadric Lords and killed Dragon Lords. In a way, i felt this was the same with Fallout New Vegas, at the end of all my playthroughs. Nothing made me feel happier than to see that i had completed so many quests and that i hadn't gotten bored of it at all. Something only a few games have accomplished. It never felt like a drag because i was constantly making a name for myself, there was always something new to find. I do agree to a lesser extent, i just hope it will be up to form.
Feels like an ARG now.
It is blatantly a ARG.
