You're calling me ignorant even though I spend hundreds already..
I encourage you to point out where I said this
If you produce music solely to get a buck, that's more shameful than me notpaying for binary.
Oh wow what a convenient way to explain away something, by pinning the shame on the producers for trying make something of their talent. People sell art. People buy art they enjoy. I download music too, and I buy music when I have the funds and I want to support the artist. It's just generally quite sad how overlooked audio work is in so many ways.

If I'm going to pay the same price for a CD, for a transcode, what's the point. If I were sold original studio masters, that would be better and I'll reconsider. But at this moment, it sounds like people are moaning because I'm not putting money into people's hands, even though I am..
no, I'm the guy that's getting ripped off by people illegally obtaining music
Are you paid based on how well the song sells? Or are you just paid before mastering the track? If you're paid before mastering it, I don't really see an issue
Are you paid based on how well the song sells? Or are you just paid before mastering the track? If you're paid before mastering it, I don't really see an issue
Depends on the contract. Local guys generally pay a flat fee, bigger names pay based on sales usually
