Makes me even prouder that it is European :')
What? - First, Boeing is based in The U.S. - Second, the plant that they made the Dream Liner in is in the U.S. I fail to see where Europe comes in to pay...
Beautiful. Also wtf about Spartex thinking Boeing is Euro.
I think I read about this. Doesn't first class have private cabins?
Makes me even prouder that it is European :')
Boeing is just about as American as Apple Pie. Even though various parts were produced around the world (Which is the case for everything built in the Aerospace industry)
Shit like that should not be in the air it just retarded
I think I read about this. Doesn't first class have private cabins?
All that stuff usually depends on the airline that buys it, they usually choose what nice things are going to be in it.
:iia:
Think about this military planes sure let them be but public airliners made of 40% composite I bet that will fucking crash
Think about this military planes sure let them be but public airliners made of 40% composite I bet that will fucking crash
Why does something have to be 100% aluminum to fly? Old planes were wood.
I think I read about this. Doesn't first class have private cabins?
Probably not, what's the point of making it lighter if you're just gonna bog it down with private cabins.
Why does something have to be 100% aluminum to fly? Old planes were wood.
... and cloth.
... and cloth.
They weren't 100% wood? How did they fly?? /sarcasm
Probably not, what's the point of making it lighter if you're just gonna bog it down with private cabins.
That IS the point. Make it lighter so you can bog it down with private cabins.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
turn it into a bomber
I watched it take off in person it was beautiful... In a "Yay, I can now use WIFI on a plane!" Way...
I watched it take off in person it was beautiful... In a "Yay, I can now use WIFI on a plane!" Way...
WiFi is a feature based on airline not airliner. Virgin America runs WiFi on their A320s.
So, what's with that little plane taking off right next to it?
So, what's with that little plane taking off right next to it?
Probably had a camera on it.
Hell yes! My dad works for Boeing. [editline]06:46PM[/editline]
Jesus christ people! It's just an aeroplane.
No, it's an airplane. :v:
Pretty cool.
I watched it take off in person it was beautiful... In a "Yay, I can now use WIFI on a plane!" Way...
Wait, wha??? Lucky bastard. I was stuck in school like 90 miles south of Everett. My drafting teacher, who had worked for Boeing as a drafter for a number of years, didn't even mention it today. Maybe he didn't know or remember. He will talk about it tomorrow, for sure.
This is fuckign badass fuck fuckfuckfuckfuck
That is obviously just the publicity demo. The regular production model will have seats half that size, twice the first class room, and cost twice as much to fly in. Also, it will have bomb bays to make losing your luggage cheaper for them.
Sounds like you've been stuck flying a crappy mainline US carrier.
What do you mean "a crappy" carrier? They're all shitty. Packing people in tighter and canceling or charging for perks makes their bottom line look better, so that's what they do. A larger plane isn't going to change that, it just means they can pack ever more people in per flight.
Would be cooler if the wings flapped like a bird's
Holy shit it has a HUD. :shlick:

And yes Airlines do try to fit a lot of people in. I don't know, I fly internationally a lot and I have found much better experiences on airlines like Qantas and JAL when compared to United, Northwest Airlines, and Delta. Well Delta is pretty good. Speaking of which Delta has an on time score of around 90% which is pretty incredible. On time is leaving within 5 minutes of the scheduled departure.
40% composite I bet that will fucking crash
Composite, is actually much stronger then the standard metals to make planes also that 787 looks beautiful although the a380 i prefer
Sexy. Can't wait to fly in this thing.
