Oh god, not this fucking art style again. I hated that in Street Fighter IV. Actually, I hated Street Fighter IV in general. I hope V plays more like Alpha.
I am not at all surprised that there isn't an uproar over this being an exclusive for PS4 like there was when it was announced Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive for Xbox One. I am not personally bothered, because this is Capcom. Remember how the Gamecube's Capcom 5 worked out? 3 went multiplatform, with better versions like RE4. I am sure a better version will come to the Xbox One within a year. I just don't like how hypocritical people can be about it. I own both, so it doesn't affect me, but gamers need to get their shit together.
There isn't an uproar because it's on PC as well.
Third Strike 2 please happen. It even looks more like SF3. Love the darker, more realistic color scheme. Love they didn't make Ryu look like the Hulk. Love they kept the ink effects, those were the cool parts of SF4 Love that the trailer seems to be geared toward getting better and self improvement which is what SF competitive scene is all about. I haven't been this excited for a game announcement in a LONG time. I knew they were working on SFV but I didn't know we were going to see it this early. Here are some technical aspects I hope change: I hope the punishment on block system isn't like SF4, and more like earlier Sf games. In earlier games things were way harder to punish on block unless you knew the perfect punishment, this increased the flow of matches in my opinion, and the risk vs reward was much more balanced out. SF4 has a much more conservative, restrictive flow in some aspects. I hope they chuck the focus system out of the fucking game. I hate focus so much. It really isn't needed for high level of play, and in lower levels of play online it can be abused quite well in certain matchups, because you need perfect time to counter-hit it as it comes out. The parry system was much better, but I don't think SF5 needs parrying. ADD. IN. GUARD CRUSH. Make jabs and low jabs have much less priority. I am so sick of strings of jabs being a viable and easy to do blockstring for pressure, and I am sick of how easy it is to beat out some things with low jab. Last and not least, get rid of the fucking input shortcuts. It doesn't help new players. It just incorrectly does a special input on random unlucky situations because it thinks you are buffering it.

So by the time Street Fighter comes out for the Xbone, everyone is gonna have fight pads and shit for the PS4 so what would be the point of moving? Sony pretty much just secured the fighting game community on the Playstation.

I'm saying that gamers shouldn't deign to be against exclusives and talk about how they're only good for the business and not the end user then conveniently ignore that when it benefits their toy of choice.
Sweet. Now I just need to find a way to get my PS360+ to work on the PS4
This paired with the news that some dude labzero hired figured out how to get PS3 sticks to work on PS4 is great.
I knew it wasn't going to happen but I was hoping for a 2D fighter along the vein of third strike.
I knew it wasn't going to happen but I was hoping for a 2D fighter along the vein of third strike.
except it is a 2d fighter. i hope you know the difference between 2d (street fighter, mortal kombat, marvel vs capcom) and 3d (dead of alive, tekken, soul calibur) fighters.
I think he was referring to a game made with sprites. Which I doubt is going to happen with Capcom.

It doesn't surprise me that they only tweaked the visual style from SF4 rather than even making a new art style altogether.
He looks like Kenshiro now.
I see no problem with that whatsoever. Fist of the Street North Star Fighter V

I dont understand the cash-cow discussion either seeing that there are tons of other companies that do more than so.

I like Capcom games, just not the company itself at this rate but i'd still buy a good game from them if I wanted to play it.
