You know you get warnings before anything happens if you ever happen to get caught.
Not to be expected here in the midwest. Usually when I hear about kids getting caught they get fucked hard. But I can't see you getting caught if you just smoke in a house.
] This is just my personal opinion, you cannot say that my opinion is stupid.
in my personal opinion, your personal opinion is stupid. so by my personal opinion, i am correct and you're wrong.
Why would I smoke weed which is illegal? I'd rather damage my health slightly with cigarettes than go to jail because of smoking weed. Ammonia is not toilet cleaner, plus while it's toxic in gas form as it'll sit in your lungs, small concentrations are fairly harmless as you'll transform the ammonia into urea and pee it out. Carbon monoxide is again a gas, and if any remains stuck, it's actually been proved that very small amounts of CO's actually benefitial as it's a neurotransmitter, and it's only when you start having high [CO] that you die. Methanol isn't jet fuel, and cadmium isn't "battery acid". It's an element that's found in older batteries and such.
Ok, so I'm pretty clueless about weed/pot etc, and I'm just wondering; By smoking it, do you get pretty "out there", as in you're not really aware of what going on around you? Is it like being drunk (apart from the hangover)? Wouldn't this be harmful in the way that you might do something idiotic while not being aware of it? Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.
IIRC most people under weed just feel really relaxed and calm and at peace with whatever around them. You still have self control and everything under it for most people. This guy I work with always goes into a super cleaning mood whenever he is stoned. Think of it like being really slap-happy and a heightened, abnormally boosted sense of space cadet-ery. You don't actually trip, lose personal and concious control over your actions, forget everything, have no motor abilities (though I wouldn't still reccomend driving or anything while on it), etc. Only "hard" drugs tend to do the above.
It's totally different here in Italy. For what I've seen, there are more teens who smoke that teens who doesn't. In the class I used to go 17 out of 20 people smoke. In the other, 15/22. But again this was class 1992, and I'm not in touch with people in their early teenages anymore.

It is very potent, pungent and is used to kill bacteria. Arsenic – arsenic is a poisonous chemical compound that contains and is derived from several toxic metals. Arsenic is typically found in pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and various alloys it can also be used to kill small animals such as rats, scorpions and other insects. Nicotine – nicotine is a substance that comes from plants typically from tobacco that is highly addictive chemical. This chemical has negative effects on the human body and due to its addictive nature is hard for most people to quit. Methanol - methanol as a form of alcohol that is derived from wood. Methanol is toxic to humans and is known to cause blindness and death is one of the simplest alcohol’s very volatile and flammable. Carbon monoxide – carbon monoxide is a gas that is emitted from cars it is very poisonous to humans many people die a year from carbon monoxide poisoning. Although there are only trace amounts found with cigarettes Mr. poisonous and dangerous to the body Methane – methane is a principal component of natural gas. Methane gas is responsible for the increasing development of the greenhouse effect and deterioration of the ozone layer on the earth. High levels of methane gas can be potent or toxic to humans. It is also believed that methane is a key ingredient for global warming. Acetic acid – acidic gases and organic acid that is typically found in vinegar it has a very pungent smell and sour taste. In large doses it can be toxic to humans it is also found in photographic film and wood glue. Butane – butane is a liquid compound that is typically found in letter fluid or used for gas grills. It is a highly combustible and flammable gas that is also known to be toxic to humans. Cadmium – Cadmium is the type of metal very close to sink or mercury. Cadmium is known to cause corrosion on steel and metal surfaces. Stearic Acid – Stearic Acid is a waxy white substance that is a fatty acid. It is *found in animal and vegetable fats, and is a component that is used to make candles, plastics, oil pastels, and cosmetics. Hexamine - hexamine is a crystal like compound that is typically found plastics. Hexamine also has medical uses that are typically used to treat urinary tract infections by doctors and medical professionals. Toluene –Toluene is the main component that is found in paint banners that strong smell the smell would be using paint thinner is toluene. Toluene when inhaled has intoxicating properties which can cause severe neurological harm. These are all known ingredients to cigarettes. Ammonia is commonly used as toilet/ general cleaner(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ammonia#Cleaner), Methanol is used as fuel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanol_fuel) But I was wrong with on the Cadmium = battery acid part.

Even if you're just arguing against the claim, not against people who don't like cigarettes, it's still incredibly stupid to argue that cigarettes are safe. That's like arguing that it's perfectly safe to drive at 100mph on the wrong side of the road on the interstate.

Not surprising at all, people are always talking about how weed is just ever so healthy and endlessly comparing it to cigarettes.
Cigarettes are fucking gross. I smoke pipes (aww yeh classy as fukkk) and smoking a cigarette is like smoking smoldering ass.
I never plan on smoking but If they made harmless strawberry or chocolate flavored cigs.. just me?
citation needed [editline]1[/editline] seriously dude you can't just post a huge list of words without multiple citations
i thought it was common knowledge cigarettes contained a fuckton of chemicals
I'm not sure whether or not smoking pot does noticeable damage to the lungs. I've met potheads that have smoked almost every day for 40 years. They don't have a bad cough and their breathing seems completely normal. They said they never had any health problems with it. I guess it depends on how often you smoke. In my experience you have to smoke A LOT to get a bad cough from it, but all the resin gets coughed out after a few weeks(if you take a break) then you feel 100% normal again.
Most people smoke weed with tobbaco so that's not really true either.
Wow, you posted after you thought of what you were going to say, even though you knew it was complete bullshit.
I never liked this cigs vs weed discussions, because there's too many variables to be taken into weed to accurately discuss it. Some people smoke joints, they get the most smoke in their body, and is the most harmful way of getting high. Some people use bongs, which use water to filter out 80% (iirc) of the carcinogens to make the smoke much less harmful for you. Some people use vaporizers, which has no smoke whatsoever going into your system. Some people put it in their food, or make a tea out of it. It's a simple matter of being responsible and using common sense. Alcohol is considered a class 4 narcotic, and oxycontin is basically a crappy heroin. Both are perfectly legal, and have an addictive properties. Why don't you bitch about that instead of a simple plant that has been in no way shape or form proven to be physically addicting.
i thought it was common knowledge cigarettes contained a fuckton of chemicals
common belief not knowledge
I think I will follow the advice of your title and acknowledged the fact that you are an idiot, and disregard all of your posts.

Surely he has nothing intelligent to contribute to the discussion even I were to provide him with a citation for the above post containing a list of chemicals supposedly in cigarettes. Delta he's not disagreeing with you there, as you can see here:
Anyways about the article: it doesn't suprise me. Marijuana has several things going for it over cigs: 1. It is much healthier for you 2. It gets you high 3. It's not addictive (only psychologically) 4. It is just as "cool" to do, if not more these days. Why smoke something bad for you that's going to get you addicted for life when you can smoke some marijuana, get something out of it, and be able to walk away the next day without craving some more? And not have to worry about getting lung cancer (unless you turn into a pot head and just smoke an assload)?
how is it much healthier than cigarettes? I want to see some scientific studies from reliable sources that say this. as far as addiction, I know so many people who are "addicted" to weed so I kinda think that's bs. but then again anything that's satisfying can be addictive.
