I'm not saying they're expensive, I'm saying very few people actually own them
I know plenty of people with ARs, AKs, and other semi-auto assault rifles.
i think he meant that people in the US dont all have fully automatic rifles/sub machine guns
Lots of people do in the midwest where it's less regulated.
if it's not fully automatic it's just a carbine
Lots of people do in the midwest where it's less regulated.
don't forget about NFA license
Shit man, the kid must've rifled through his parent's stuff. Nonetheless, it's partially the parents fault for not locking up their gun, as well as not teaching the child that guns are very dangerous things, tools designed for KILLING. But on a less serious note, this incident kinda reminds me of that one scene from asdfmovie3, where the guy shows off his new camera, only to find it's a handgun. Vaguely related, but still an important lesson; don't confuse guns with cameras. (I hope this wasn't in too bad taste or anything)
don't forget about NFA license
I know, but in places like Nevada, Idaho, etc, full auto is not as regulated as it is in places like Maryland, DC, VA, etc.
What if something did happen? You'd be awfully sorry that you aren't prepared to defend yourself.
I know what you mean. I really do. But during the time i've been living here i've never ever heard of a case where someone shot and killed an entire family. Store robberies happen, but that's a different discussion. A gun for protection asks for a gun for attacks. A person can have bad luck, but you can't protect yourself from bad luck. Chances are that having no gun around saves your life.
I thought it said 3 killed. The kid, I bet, brought it for show and tell.
How the FUCK does a kid bring a gun to school?!
How the FUCK does a kid bring a gun to school?!
the boy: Mom, can I bring the gun for show and tell about how we protect in the house? Mom :Sure.
the boy: Mom, can I bring the gun for show and tell about how we protect in the house? Mom :Sure.
it was probably more like "daddy keeps his gun in the bedside drawer I'm going to sneak in while he's at work and take it"
usa in a nutshell

Simply having one in the drawer next to you as you sleep in case the door's kicked in when you least expect it, is not asking for trouble. Concealed carry is something everyone should also be allowed to do. However in Maryland (where I live) and other states, you need a justifiable reason to carry. Basically the only ways you can carry in MD are if you are a gun shop owner, armored car driver, or cop. The other way is if you have police documented threats on your life. Apparently having your house broken into while you're home counts for this as well, but only if they present a threat to you. This is why crime in Maryland sucks, DC had the SAME laws, and recently changed them to allow everyone to carry. Crime took a total u-turn.
It's not just America, stop being so damn closed minded. Shit like this happens in Europe too all the damn time.
Where did I say "only in America"?
Irrational fear isn't a mental disorder, everybody has an irrational fear of something
phobias are a mental disorder. an irrational fear is a phobia. end.
Where did I say "only in America"?
You said "America at its finest." Same thing.
we should create a system where only responsible and mentally stable people can get a hold of a fire arm
Licenses will never work. (User was banned for this post ("Sixth pointless bump. Last chance." - Orkel))
If I had a kid and guns, I would have a very safe gun vault.
if i ever had a gun, it would be locked in a box under my bed.. or SOMETHING also, how the fuck did one bullet hit three kids in the leg?
30G - One shot, 3 wounds.
I could swear I heard this about 3 months ago.
I've only once had to use my firearm in self-defense. I was walking back to my apartment when I saw a man kicking a woman that was lying on the ground. I told him to back away, he pulled out a knife and started walking towards me, I pulled out my Glock 23. He dropped the knife and took off running. Paramedics came and took the woman to the hospital.
You are a hero. Would be cooler if you fought him like in those martial arts movies, but that's cool.
For some reason I expected it to be a six year old bringing a gun to a knife fight, I couldn't see the whole title from the main page.
