I bought a Nspire CAS CX thanks to this thread. [sub]I needed one anyway since my sister's hoarding the TI84.[/sub]
Why hasn't handheld computing devices (smartphones, tablets, etc), completely replaced calculators yet?
god fucking damnit, how ignorant are you
find the zero of a quadratic equation on that fucker I dare you
That's where an FX 9750/9850G comes in. Best bang-for-buck graphical calculators on the market.
I think I'm fine with my old Casio fx-115MS.

[editline]11th November 2012[/editline]
find the zero of a quadratic equation on that fucker I dare you
If you mean find the roots, that's pretty easy. Even without a calculator; the right use of surds and the quadratic equation, you don't need to touch anything but your pen. Noy very efficient, though.
Don't they already have the color TI-Nspires that are drastically superior to the 84 in terms of screen resolution and processing power?
Yes, but they're horrendous to use. Give me the old 84 any day. [editline]11th November 2012[/editline]
Oh yeah. I love that thing. I could never live without the TI-36X Pro MultiView, which is essentially that thing with a more sensible button layout.
