Why voting is important:
I agree with NDP policies moreso than liberal but this election is more about strategic voting and ousting Harper so me and a lot of people i know have gone for lib
Quite a few of those strategic voting websites were incredibly biased towards the liberal party.

Also why you shouldn't throw your vote to lost causes like the Greens
I've been watching the official elections Canada page, watching the 'others' get votes

This is nuts - liberals elected or leading in all 33 ridings that have submitted votes so far. It'll be interesting to see what happens across the main bulk of the country later on

Rhinoceros Party outpolling the BQ, as it should be.
There's a big red sea flooding the Maritimes right now. That's bad news for the NDP, but I think it's also about 5 seats lost for the Conservatives.
Prepare for impact - votes incoming in 1 minute.
Results from Quebec to Alberta should start arriving in a few minutes. It's about to go down.
Time to find out if my riding remains a Conservative stronghold, or swings to Liberal as some have predicted.
CBC showing a clip from Murdoch Mysteries, which is a pretty decent show.

The live elections page on elections Canada isn't even loading :v:

Blue starting to appear in the Prairies.
Why are the prairies polling now? I thought the polls closed at like 9:30 local time, shouldn't they have another hour or two?
CBC CALLING A LIBERAL GOVERNMENT
That was quick.
Harper's gone. Praise the lord.

I think it's a little early to call a winner even if the Liberals are running away with it right now. I don't think Alberta came in yet.
Justin Trudeau is the next prime minister? LEGAL WEED NOW OR GET OUT.
I voted conservative, I hope killing my tax free savings account was worth it liberals.

Goodnight, sweet prince...

Nope, polls from Alberta to Quebec all closed at the same time this year, as they repealed the results blackout (now they're staggering poll times to account for it)
I really, really hope Trudeau goes back on the TPP.
Also, BC polls haven't even closed yet and the Liberals are already poised to win... I find that kinda odd
Holy shit Bloc Quebecois is leading in one riding

Liberals won the seat in the end.
Holy shit Bloc Quebecois is leading in one riding
If that's the only riding they take that'll be even more sad than a total shutout, tbh. That one MP will sit behind a desk and be basically ignored, but also judged for being the lone Bloc representative and expected to do something.
CBC also shows that Bloc-led riding is only returning 1 of 241 polling stations. Not exactly indicative.

If the vote mysteriously flips blue due to 'anomalies' in the reporting, prepare to protest and demand an investigation.
Liberals have hit 100 seats already according to advance polls. From looking on how the election is playing out, I bet you would have a much different election if FPTP (First Past the Post) was abolished and installed preferential runoff voting instead (where you put 1 for your most preferred candidate, 2 for 2nd best and so on, and the one you hate most last).

I really dislike this sort of "democracy so long as my party wins" attitude that a number of posters here have.
The results are going to fluctuate because not all have them have been counted yet.
CTV declares the Conservatives as the Opposition. Yay?

Albertans here on the radio were talking about how Harper should have stacked the senate so that any NDP/Lib victory would be meaningless.
hahahaha what
someone just shouted out on the CBC livestream "fuck her right in the pussy"
"FUCK HER RIGHT IN THE PUSSY"
