what? most of the UK sensitive military installations are in Scotland.
Faslane Naval Base for example, a mere 20 miles or so from where I live, houses the UK Nuclear submarines.

Well then I stand corrected. Rated Informative.
Thats quite interesting, why are they over here though? They clearly know where they are.

Then wonder what the fuck Johnny Russian is doing over here.
Scots are better than Brits.
This kind of interception has been happening for years.

A distant family member of mine was on one of the aircraft that were sent on the Dam Busting missions. My Granmother's side of the family i think.
just thought i'd throw that out there
i know the music is from a movie, but the picture is of the dam busters
Russia's just chilling in our airspace.
What's wrong with Putin flying his seasonal view of Europe?
Scots are better than Brits.
Scots are Brits :downs:
While this incident is getting people on edge and paranoid, you at least have to admit, that is one damn sexy bomber...
United Kingdom, I don't consider Scotsmen or Irishmen to be British at all, because they shouldn't be dumbed down to their level.
They're testing RAF's reaction time.
They want to know if they are able to get in range to launch a nuke before being intercepted.
They have ICBMs to carry nukes.

historically no
This has happened over America, UK, France, and Japan many many MANY times since 2003. Once two Bears got well into California before being intercepted. They aren't trying to bomb anyone, they're pushing buttons. For now. The Cold War isn't over. This arms treaty is renewing the West-Russian tension brought back in 2003-4 over the missile shield.
The Cold War never ended, it's simply at a low, and slowly tension is coming back.
China and Russia are getting ever closer and growing ever more influential and competitive with the West. I've said it before and I've said it again. In my lifetime, I have no doubt that another iron curtain, be it ideological, economic, or otherwise, will be drawn, and the world will be again split between alliances with one or the other superpower (or group of superpower).
America is enjoying its place uncontested at the top of the food chain for now, but China is growing faster than most realize and Russia is becoming ever more icy towards us.

That's not just a picture of putin sitting in any plane, he's actually sitting in the same model of plane that this article is about.

Imagine having a president that can fly long range bombers
putin

Similar event happened over US airspace a few years ago.

It's just Russia waving it's dick around. Nothing to be to concerned over.
"This is not an unusual incident and people may be surprised to know that our crews have successfully scrambled to intercept Russian aircraft on more than 20 occasions since the start of 2009."
Oh you Russians. :allears:
Putin: greatest troll? or greatest troll

Nice picture.
So nobody seems to find it somewhat... odd Russia is testing foreign countries' defense capabilities?
I agree with everyone though, it's probably harmless at the moment.
I guess the pilots just wanted to have a party up there, whats the point of these patrols anyways?
Military Dickwaving.

Yeah, there's a war going on right now on the moon. With hovertanks.

And lasers.
Roswell was secretly an invasion from space soviets.
I'd laugh if the rocket they crashed into the moon had people on it and they made a secret space colony under the surface.
