not true at all, mc donalds trains their staff quite extensively, i have many friends who work/have worked there.
haha nope
haha nope
maybe it's just in NZ??? (another thing we do better than aus... :P just kidding m8)
Fair enough, but like I said, attack mode, when you're having a bad day, working in a shitty greasy job, you don't want to deal with that kind of treatment. I'd probably be just as pissed off as him.
That would've been believable if he actually went apeshit on them rather than beating them down and waiting for them to try and get back up before hitting them again.
i dunno i don't think it's as dumb as all this ATTACK MODE rhetoric you're all spouting. [editline]5th December 2011[/editline] not true at all, mc donalds trains their staff quite extensively, i have many friends who work/have worked there.
I only see really wacky people work at McDonalds here in New York.
I only see really wacky people work at McDonalds here in New York.
at this point you're just talking down at the cashier "he's a mcdonalds employee he doesn't know what self-control is!"
at this point you're just talking down at the cashier "he's a mcdonalds employee he doesn't know what self-control is!"
At least where I am they are. And I never said that, directly, what are you doing?
I said New York, at least where I am... not where he is. What are you doing?
yeah but you are using it to excuse his actions with this "attack mode" or whatever. i mean you didn't just randomly start talking about it.
yeah but you are using it to excuse his actions with this "attack mode" or whatever. i mean you didn't just randomly start talking about it.
being a cashier doesn't mean anything regarding how self controlled they are, a cop, or a lawyer, or a welder, could do the same thing you know, given the situation.
being a cashier doesn't mean anything regarding how self controlled they are, a cop, or a lawyer, or a welder, could do the same thing you know, given the situation.
it would be just as inexcusable in those cases as well
just because they work in a shitty greasy job doesn't somehow make it less bad for him to bash people's skulls in. I don't know why people cheer this on, they should have all been indicted on assault charges.
Well he was assaulted and outnumbered, I'd say that panic is a pretty good excuse for what he did.
Waiting for them to get up before hitting them again doesn't qualify as panic any more.
Waiting for them to get up before hitting them again doesn't qualify as panic any more.
I disagree.
I disagree.
And why's that? A panicking person would continue hitting them, this is just kicking them when they're down.
And why's that? [editline]5th December 2011[/editline] He's probably shocked and confused, so he panics again when the attacker is about to get back up. He was just attacked unprovoked, so not staying still and attempting to get back up could have been perceived as an attempt to continue.
you realize he was just slapped right?
Unprovoked, he was verbally abused, followed into restricted area, outnumbered, and physically abused. His actions would have been unjustified if they had not have jumped over the counter and followed him, since they weren't allowing him to escape it is reasonable that he defended himself.
To be honest it looks like a definite use of excessive force to me. As both the women were by then non-threatening and he kept hitting them with the weapon.
They attacked him first, there is no excuse for the way they acted. Im glad he was able to give them a good ass kicking and get away with it, those stupid whores needed to learn that you can't just treat people like shit.
Because repeatedly hitting someone with a lead pipe is a totally appropriate response.
You have to realize this is the US where you may shoot someone for breaking in to your house. He'd have been prosecuted in the Netherlands.
Because repeatedly hitting someone with a lead pipe is a totally appropriate response.
So in a situation where you're outnumbered and trapped, you're definitely going to resort to diplomacy to get the job done? Cut the shit, he was in the right.
So in a situation where you're outnumbered and trapped, you're definitely going to resort to diplomacy to get the job done? Excessive force in the Netherlands is any and all force used after you've had the chance to get away. You may defend yourself, but as soon as you have the chance to run away you have to take it.

-snip I was looking at a different part-
That one fat white chic yelling "STOP" needs to shut up. The video's name also incites rage.
I think he did the right thing, I mean she assaulted him which prompted self defense. There's no way to get around that! Now if she slapped him and took off out of the restaurant then the most he could do is call the police and make a report. She however, decided to jump that counter and keep at her assault which gives him the right to defend himself. Those who are saying that he was beating them excessively even though they were on the ground, the courts most likely got camera footage from various angles including from behind the counter. If anything they were probably trying to keep getting up to continue their attack; they saw the pipe when he brought it out. If they didn't feel like getting hit with it they should've backed off. By mobrockers2's logic if someone breaks into your house and you use a gun to deter the criminal it's "over-excessive" because it can kill someone. Sometimes just running isn't an option or the best thing to do.
I mean really, it's their fault for; Attacking him unprovoked, disturbing public peace, and entering a restricted area. Of course, that's not to say that he could have been a bit more... gentle about the defense. But I still believe he was in the right. Leads me to wonder why he had a piece of rebar in the first place.
The video's name also incites rage.
"Killer behind the counter, gunman attacks etc." - it's hilarious how he's painted as some demon desperate to satisfy his killing fetish despite keeping his cool the entire time, until they trespassed and attempted to gang up on him.
