Damn, I would've taken the money without hesitation. That guy is kind as fuck.
If I was carrying that much money I wouldn't take it on a bus that's for certain, I'd hire an armored truck to transport it wherever I needed it to go.
Then forget it there.
He deserves a reward, give him a thousand at least
Sure giving him a thousand from that stash would be a nice act of gratitude from the lady, but truly honest and caring actions like this one are made without expecting anything in return. He shouldn't need a reward in cash for his actions, for he has already been rewarded with the gratitude of this woman and the heartwarming feeling of being an honest person and returning HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to its rightful owner. I'd personally feel really good with myself if I ever got the chance to do such an action like this one.
dementia is terrible.
holy karma
This makes me angry, when has it ever been a good idea to take a bus with that much money?
This makes me angry, when has it ever been a good idea to take a bus with that much money?
Uhh.. why not? Its not like every person in the bus knows there half a million euro in there and its also not likely that someone would randomly mug her in the bus
Well, I also would've returned the money, but not without asking for a reward. It's better to have a nice reward than be left with a prison sentence for stealing.
To be completely honest could never imagine what i would do in a situatuion like that. If it was a simple matter to return the cash i would probably do it. But honestly who knows, greed is a powerfull emotion.
Bus drivers are always friendly people, they cool.
I would probably have taken it as well, assuming there's no CCTV and just passed it off as a stranger sitting down and just assumed it was someone she knew. I hope this guy gets a raise or something though.
Cant say i would have done the same...
Who here would've taken it, I wonder?
just a little
I hope she gives him the 15k and keeps the 300 or something, that would be a nice reward for him.
do you even math?
do you even math?
He was talking about the sum in pounds, not dollars or euros.
by being 77
Well good thing I plan on dying from heart disease in my mid 60's at least by then my mind wouldn't completely leave me.
I'd take the money and invest it. And then pay her back 5 years later when I'm a billionaire.
Bus drivers are always friendly people, they cool.
its like 50/50 I reckon half are cool and half are cunts fed up with their job
Why do I feel this is an advertisement for the bus company, and is all planned and cooperated fully with the granny and the driver?
I rather give it back because the guilt and living a life of lies wouldn't be worth it, however I would probably feel invincible after giving it back because of how rewarding it probably feels.
If I were him,I would just take $15,000 and give the rest back, you can buy fuck tons of shit with that money and the women still has more than 90% of her life savings back,It's a win-win.
I would have been scared as fuck that it was drug money and have given it back in fear for my life like what normal person carries around that much in cash (this is an exceptional case).
I'd probably sneak a $20 and buy myself a nice lunch
I freak out if I lose a one dollar bill :v:
i wanna see him get a medal honest-to-goodness ribbon'n'brass medal

I really like to think that the average person would return the money like this man did. But then I remember we live in a world where people are killed over Black Friday sales.
holy shit, imagine finding a bag like that id probably piss myself then hand it into the police from sheer paranoia (after cleaning myself up obviously)
I'd love to be able to say I'd return it. But you never know what you'd do when it came down to it.
