I think they're just counting down to new year, i'm gonna watch it on the big night and see what it does.
They are. I worked it out in the original post. As it passed 11:30 (well, 11:31, actually) the number of seconds left was exactly equal to 16 days, 28 minutes, and a few seconds (which is exactly 00:00 on the 1st of January 2010). I've highlighted it now so that it stands out more in all of that text.

Heh, I have it in my bookmarks, but I didn't think to use it. I'm just so used to going to google and doing that.
It's 2012!
New year....
It only works when I switch to the English version of google, it doesn't work when I'm at the Dutch version.
Yay, after 16 days it is 2010
Anyone noticed that the seconds are decimal?
It's a countdown to december 21st 2012 :downs:
With GMT +0 it seems roughly midnight on December 31st. I'm gonna work it out and see...
[editline]17:12[/editline]
Yeah, it's 16 days and 6.840816 hours
17:12 with GMT +0
Seems about right.
[editline]17:13[/editline]
50.44896 minutes = 0.840816 hours
16 days, 6 hours, 50 minutes and roughly 25 seconds.
By my calculations, about 6 minutes short of New Years with GMT +0 :ohdear:
Wow I would have never guess all that when I first saw it.
At first I thought it was a countdown for their Google Phone
