The Kremlin reacted with fury when a Turkish F-16 fighter shot down a Russian Su-24 bomber on the Syria-Turkey border in November. Russia has banned: The import of Turkish fruit and vegetables, poultry and salt The sale of charter holidays for Russians to Turkey Construction projects with Turkish firms in Russia unless a special exemption is granted There are restrictions now on Turkish citizens working for companies registered in Russia. And Russia has suspended work on TurkStream - a new Black Sea pipeline that was to boost Russian gas exports to Turkey. Economist Erhan Aslanoglu says the sanctions are bound to have an impact on the Turkish economy in the short term, but in the medium term Turkey will recover. He predicts that the cost for Turkey in lost business could be at least $10bn (£7bn).
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35209987
Turkey getting rekt.
It's well-deserved I suppose.
It can backfire Most people are idiots, and surely turkey's government will spinbthis into "we did nothing and they want to destroy us!" And so most people will buy into that and radicalize\allow the gov to keep pushing for their ends Just like Russia did with weestern sanctions.
Maybe this will make the Turks get rid of that idiot Erdogan
I'll remember that if I won't be able to pay for university in the middle of my bachelor Hint: My father is in tourism industry
Well yeah maybe not for your average moderate Turk, but Erdogan is such a dickbag.

Russian general populace also suffer from western sanctions. Heck, even my girlfriend suffers from economic troubles in her family and, even though living in UK, she has to both work in a care home for elderly and full time study. You are not the only one having it rough.
Good, now kick Turkey out of NATO too.
Good, now kick Turkey out of NATO too.
Can't tell if its sarcasm or not
Kick the Turkey out of NATO. And don't forget Saudi Arabia.
Kick the Turkey out of NATO. And don't forget Saudi Arabia.
SA isn't part of NATO.
SA isn't part of NATO.
Ok then let's invite them and kick them out right after.

(Not saying that America doesn't supply weapons to other countries either.)
How was he a retard when he won?
Not much use for a political victory when you're sitting there with no pants, in patched socks, on top of crumbling economy. That goes for both Russia and Turkey. Two countries not exactly in any position to throw their weight around as much as they do.

[editline]3nd January 2016[/editline] Or did you mean she's studying there but her family lives in Russia? If so, that makes things more clear.
Family friend working as an accountant for a Turkish construction firm in Russia lost her job on New Years.
