I feel like all this argument about legal premise is going to waste. We all know that some day WBC is going to cross the line and get fucked over... It's inevitable, especially if they keep it up as frequently and as hardcore as they do now. I'm pretty sure a group of emotionally distressed citizens won't give half a shit about legal action when these cunts come to protest at a funeral.

Plus it's (generally) targeted toward youth who can't reasonably be expected to be sensible and controlled enough to just ignore it. It's for the same reason that I think they should be kept well away from funerals. That's a time when we can reasonably expect someone to be overcome with emotion and unable to control themselves if they were provoked. I'm for tighter restrictions on the WBC so that the people being targeted can choose to stay away from them and it doesn't turn into direct harassment, but I don't support silencing them wholesale.
