It's a shame you can only build within Australia and New Zealand.
And this is why I love google, they do a lot of cool shit like this.
I made a nice little red house with a nice little blue roof, and was so proud of myself. Then I looked at the shit other people made. It's like Minecraft all over again.
Mine's near Australia and is horizontal.

It doesn't go well with circle objects
I was really excited when I went to that website but there appears to be a saddening amount of less-than-staggering wonders to build.

I found a fancy 1911-era car design. No really cool buildings, though.
And it begins:

Help me populate Treasure Island!
I started with a monument thing
Hope it has more blocks/larger area in the future.
This. The current line up of available blocks doesn't really allow much in the way of creativity at the moment.
For anyone interested, here's the instruction manuals for pretty much every LEGO set ever.
So much nostalgia!!
Especially the train sets...
I thought Roblox was destroyed by Blockland which in turn was destroyed by Minecraft...
(Funny thing is Roblox came later, trying to compete with Blockland. To my knowledge they failed horribly)
Doesn't really matter. Blockland and Roblox both has shitty communities filled with 12 year olds.
(Roblox actually has people a lot younger playing)
Roblox is actually still alive and kicking, the only problem is the community.
Blockland is pretty much dead by now, and the Minecraft craze is still alive.
IMO, Roblox is better than Minecraft. Physics, absolute freedom, easy to use Lua and all that.
Whilst all of this is nice, LEGO Digital Designer is still much better.
Chrome Build still has a long way to go.

Blockland is not dead...?
Legos are nice.
it's LEGO
Last time I checked, it only had about 100 players. Roblox has a couple of thousands.
There are more than 100 players online in an hour. If anything, I'd say Blockland is on a plateau and Roblox is slipping. They don't have much going on in the way of progression. They've collapsed in on themselves like a dying star from the sheer amount of money they got from the DisneyXD deal.
Boo, can't put blocks under other blocks.
Google can have all my children.
I don't mean to be "that guy", but it really gets on my tits when people say it like that.
LEGO has officially announced several times that that way is woefully incorrect.
um you're doing it wrong
according to the official LEGO® group you're supposed to affix the ® symbol on the first usage of the term 'LEGO'
gosh

The community is utter shit, and the owners pretty much made everything money based.
If you have a group of personal friends, then you can make a nice little place, but that's it. One map per profile.
Last I checked, they also eliminated the basic "premium" membership, forcing you to the more expensive one. :v:

avast, maggots, make way for some real creativity

Can I make huge cities?
This needs more than standard legos though. I wanna build a weird ass city with odd buildings made of domes only!
I could complain over the severely limited block selection, but to be honest I think this is exactly what LEGO is supposed to be like. Masterful usage of primitive shapes to create complexity is real ingenuity that I can appreciate. It has always bothered me how LEGO bricks has stopped being just that; bricks. Specialized LEGO pieces have more limited usefulness which in turn limits creativity when the building becomes a game of matching artful custom pieces together rather than actually BUILDING something.
I hit the block limit with my neat house. I couldn't finish the roof.

Unfortunately doesn't work from any other angle, but it was worth a shot.
