Google makes youtube even more impossible to use. (comment changes) - Polidicks

I'm still angry about this. It may not be a 'first world problem' but it's completely irrational, and will really show YouTube's/Google's ignorance towards its users if they don't revert these changes.

The worst part isn't the terrible Google+ integration, but the fact viruses and legitimate spam make it through but comments that aren't spam get flagged as spam

I'm confused about what to put on the G+ profiles. Are we supposed to make a profile for our channel or are we supposed to make a profile for ourselves? I'm just gonna assume it's a G+ profile for our channels or else they would be fucking over all the other major channels like ComedyCentral, The Onion, VSauce etc.

If you don't want to use a real name it won't be a profile but a page instead. A page is behaving like a dummy account on G+

I've preferred Vimeo for a while, since most of the content on there is usually interesting and has a lot of effort put into it. Oh and the developers don't fuck it up and actually make it better when they update the site.

I can comment and stuff but I cant upload videos. I need to create a channel to do that. I was super annoyed for the same reasons as you but after realizing this it got better.

I swear I must be the only one on Facepunch who has had no problems with the switch. I don't have multiple profiles, I can upload things in my name, I didn't lose my favorites or likes or anything, comments I made seamlessly transferred over, everything just worked for me. Did I do something right on accident?

I already have one so maybe I was never asked. I was only asked to setup a Google+ profile for my channel. [b]edit:[/b] On another Google account I had I just removed my Google+ profile to see if this was true. When trying to comment I'm being asked to choose between either a personal/real Google+ profile for my Google account or a "fake profile"/channel and have a non personal Google+ profile for my channel where I can use any name I want etc.
