But for some reason, that option doesn't always show up if you already have a personal Google+ account linked to your main Google account. I think you have to link your personal G+, then go into the options and unlink it again, and [i]then[/i] the option will show up. I remember having to do that. Not intuitive at all, because they're probably hoping to get as many real accounts linked as possible, for that juicy personal data. Luckily for those who never signed up for G+ in the first place, I think the option for the "fake" profile shows up right away. I regret ever signing up for a personal G+; I would've made mine anonymous from the start if they'd offered that option to begin with. I do follow and interact with certain communities on G+, like Ingress and CyanogenMod, but I don't need a real name like Facebook to do that. Facebook is the only network I use with real friends.

A friend of mine has a friend the actually works for Google, I hope this is not true but he says that Google is thinking about make YouTube a Google+ ONLY site. Some details he gave were videos will only be on a 3 minute preview and only available when you create a Google+ profile. You will also not be able use any of the categories to browse videos or search videos, you will only be able to view the Popular Topics section. He has confirmed however that they are terminating accounts (regardless of legacy status or not) that will not link to a Google+ profile.

I don't care that it's in there because it's part of my profile anyway, but it's just that now I'm gonna have to add some random stupid shit onto the end of my name, instead of using my perfectly good alias (ShaunOfTheLive), which even Facebook lets me use. (You guys can add me if you want, just don't go doxxing me for no reason.) EDIT: I ended up choosing ShaunHillZone, as a shitty pun on Green Hill Zone from Sonic. You can tell me to go kill myself if you want. EDIT: Fuck Google+. Searching for my alias brings up nothing. You have to manually type it in the address bar with a plus in front. If you do search for my alias, it suggests "Shaun Hill Zone" with spaces, which leads to some other guy's page or something. I can't even tell who owns that page. Google+ is the biggest clusterfuck of a social network ever invented, and I'm sure I'll keep finding more hideous flaws without end. EDIT: MORE fucking weirdness! If you search for my number, 105746606361466104196, that brings up me, but if you search for my email address? A bunch of random crap. Even though my email address works if you put it into the Hangouts box on the right. TL;DR actually finding a specific person on Google+ is a clusterfuck

What I still don't understand, why did google decide to launch google+? If after initial release, why did they not shut it down like they do for many of google's services that didn't work out well? Why force people to use it and to integrate it into virtually every google function? It only makes people resent google for doing so. It isn't like those people will ever actually use google+, they just have a blank profile. I wouldn't be surprised if google makes it mandatory to personalize your google+ profile before it lets you comment.

Fuck it, Youtube is dead. I was able to create a second account without any Google+ rape. If you do not have Google+ you can not search videos on your account page 1 stays locked for all pages. So that means I have to log out of my account to search videos. [B] UPDATE: [/B]They are now BANNING accounts that signed the petition to change comments back.

So I linked the accounts, my name on YouTube now W. Durrsly, I can't do shit. I can't comment, like, or dislike comments. A popup appears for like a split second, vanishes, then the comments reset.

Nice, they just deleted my second account that I just created for not linking it to Google+. I am so fucking done. I am going as far as to downgrade my browser. I'm not even going to use Google for searching.
