From this thread: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1322388
Google please take over the government. Ill happily accept your new world dominance.
I guess since google is the reason comments on youtube changed no one wants this anymore. I don't actually dislike the new comments besides that there's no letter cap and that uploaders can choose to disallow words instantly.

Is there a way to automatically untick that "Share to Google+" button when commenting? It seems to tick itself back on every time I tick it off and leave the page for another. [editline]edit[/editline]
And the fact that you're forced to check google+ to see if people have responded?
Theoretically yes, but the inbox seems pretty well intergrated. If you get a comment, you don't need to refresh the page to get notified. It also shows up as a red (1) or however many new comments you get, so you don't have to go into video manager > inbox > comments just to see if you've had any new.
I'm just so grateful I have a legacy account that still isn't linked to a google+ page, although google constantly asks me to link it.
Won't last long, I had one and they terminated it for not using Google+.
Is there a way to automatically untick that "Share to Google+" button when commenting? It seems to tick itself back on every time I tick it off and leave the page for another.
That likely cannot be set to not to automatically tick itself.

I saw several people post just a few seconds ago without a G+ account so I tried disconnecting the page and trying, lolnope. The fuck? [editline]7th November 2013[/editline] Now that I've gotten used to the notification center thing so you can see comments on the fly up in the top right, and seeing comment 'threads', that's actually pretty neat. But that would've been perfectly acceptable to have integrated into YouTube. There's no reason to muddle it up with Google+. I think people who legit use G+ are worse off though. If they shared a YouTube video on their page, even before this update, well guess what, that convo shows up as a comment.
Yes, but that bell-list is a disorganized mess. I mean do you really prefer this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/21ObUNM.png[/t] Over this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Z0zdisJ.png[/t]
Yeah you're right that is actually much worse, shit.

Man I want a notification about comments on my stuff but I couldn't give a rats ass about shares. That's going to be really fucking annoying as I have 13k subscribers. I'm gonna get bombed every time I release something.
And the fact that you're forced to check google+ to see if people have responded?
I thought you could just see it if you scrolled down to the comment and looked at the conversation from there. I guess it's a step back from things appearing in your inbox then.
If you want to comment you're going to have to
I noticed that just now. Wow that's lame. [editline]7th November 2013[/editline] I guess no more commenting then, because no way I'm gonna link to google+.
Well, one more reason to use the video deck then I guess. It just shows me my subs in an orderly fashion and puts them on the screen in a big format, pretty much all I need anyway. If only there some viable competition to save us from this monopoly arrogance. ... Valve, c'mon, you know you want to stretch your resources even thinner.
That site isn't too bad. It would be better if your subscriptions could be displayed as a grid instead of a dumb list.
That site isn't too bad. It would be better if your subscriptions could be displayed as a grid instead of a dumb list.
Well you can make multiple columns that group a couple people together each, so due to my customization it pretty much looks like a grid, but more sorted.
Apparently the top comments are gonna be constant now. You know how there were two top comments labeled as such that cycled every now and then? Well too bad, the comments with the highest votes will stay at the top constantly and you'll have to scroll past them if you want to read everything else.
Trevor: Youtube comments previously were like 4chan, pieces of shit, but they eventually went away. Now it's reddit, where that shit is upvoted and stays at the top.
Also - Comment moderation - good in theory, fucking godawful in practice.

Don't tell me we will have to put up with crap like this..
I forgot my youtube password ages ago so luckily there is little I could lose.
I noticed that just now. Wow that's lame. [editline]7th November 2013[/editline] I guess no more commenting then, because no way I'm gonna link to google+.
Why not just make a G+ page for your youtube username and only use it for youtube comments
Why not just make a G+ page for your youtube username and only use it for youtube comments
it's the principle of the thing, you shouldn't have to the only thing you should need to successfully use youtube is... a youtube account
If you want to comment you're going to have to
Whats even stranger is that people with Google+ can't interact with people who don't have it
Whats even stranger is that people with Google+ can't interact with people who don't have it
What's next, restricting you to talk only with people from your country?
Don't tell me we will have to put up with crap like this..
it will get funny until people will abuse it and turn into it into shit
What's next, restricting you to talk only with people from your country?
Passport scans before posting comments makes sense.

When Google make a bad change its always a VERY BAD change. There's no real medium.
What the fuck I can't even type into the comment box anymore, and it's not like I have anything blocked. What were the youtube devs thinking?
I just made this to explain what Google's done to YouTube.
I'm glad the linked article has sensitive and positive comments (even though they're mainly heavily upvoted Google employee comments) unlike the feedback to the new comments on YouTube and reddit on /r/youtube [editline]7th November 2013[/editline] I love the new comment system; the only flaw it currently has is that it's not sorting by most upvoted like it should. I'm fine with all the Google= stuff because I have every Google service that's not Android-related ever! Hooray!
I've unlinked Google+ from my Youtube account. I'd honestly rather give up the privilege to comment on videos than have that horrendous shit ruin my YouTube interface further. And so I have. Thanks Google.
this is just the beginning of the storm, it'll eventually become completely mandatory or you gotta go
I know... I'm clinging to whatever is left now.
http://www.youtube.com/t/contact_us Where do I send direct feedback to? It is like they do not want complaints so made it overly complex.
