RAGE, Perfect Dark, Shenmue 2 all had bad endings
Are you complaining about those?
'BUT ITS EA SO IT'S DIFFERENT'
No, it was Bioware, they were making one of the greatest game series I've ever made, the game was unique in the fact that choices you made throughout the game would affect the game no matter how little. Yet in the end, they give the 3 same endings all with next to no work put into them no matter what you do.

I have never played a mass effect game but I watched the ending on youtube to see what the hype was about, and I can honestly say it was both boring and effortless.
Breaking News: 402 children are hospitalized after eating rat poison-laced cupcakes
Food given to you, not upon your request, via the mail.... Never should be eaten

They were ordered from some bakery though and directly shipped to Bioware. In that case, the bakery would be the ones responsible.

However, while we do appreciate that fans were creative in how they expressed their views, after a lot of discussion, we decided ultimately the reason that they were sent was not done in the context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team. This is a subtle, but important aspect in determining how to pass the feedback to the team.
How dare you criticize the game! You aren't celebrating their accomplishment!
The whole thing makes me a bit sad. And I haven't even played ME3.
(Good for the kids, though.)
That was nice of them, but they are turning into a shitty company now like EA.
I don't want to pop your bubbles, but EA actually owns BioWare.
So... but I see no point in raging. He gave them to Bioware, but they gave it to other people. Better than these cupcakes going into the litter. So, why freak out over it?
It's not that they gave the cupcakes to kids, it's that they basically said "fuck you too" and gave them all away,
But the cupcakes were just a way to say "fuck you" at Bioware.
So they took the fourth option. That's what we want to do. Preferably by punching that damn glowy star kid in the face.

Bioware just don't get it, do they? Those cupcakes weren't sent to CELEBRATE ANYTHING. They were telling you that you did a horrible job. Just because someone doesn't like something that Bioware did doesn't mean they should have the balls to brush aside criticism as blatantly as they have. "You don't agree with the endings? I don't care, you're just our fan base. Why should we care what you think?"

what did you expect them to do with 400 cupcakes
better than throwing them out
[editline]4th April 2012[/editline]
could of done without the snarky message though
I'm surprised people are angry at Bioware for donating the food to charity. Who cares if it's a PR move? They did a good thing regardless.
you guys are gonna make me cry stop fighting
[editline]4th April 2012[/editline]
it was a passive aggressive dick move. "we hated your game. take these, now you literally owe it to us to fix it in that we spent money on these and expect something in return for no reason whatsoever"

That wasn't the message that they were putting forth but ok. Plus they don't hate the game, they hate the ending. Big fucking difference.

You missed the point by a light-year.
"protest cupcakes"? Some small child mgiht get a cupcake saying "Fuck you Bioware! Suck my cock, fuckers!". :v:
While it's clear that it was for PR, I really wouldn't know what to do with all the cupcakes. And while it was PR, the kids are probably happy for it, and isn't that better in the end? No one is telling the fans to stop the criticism, but seeing this going to charity is only good. I don't really care whether it was PR or not - if all the attention this ending got went to charity instead, this world would be a slightly better place.
Three diffrent cupcakes. A green, a pink and a blue.
and they all taste vanilla.
I don't see why people are getting so angry over the ending. You don't see this many people going in a spergrage if a movie is bad.
If you don't like it, don't buy it.

uhhhh
so if i bought it to play the awesome ending, but felt like i got punched in the face because it was so bad
i shouldn't buy it (???)
But how would they know the ending was bad before buying it?
I guess maybe if people wouldn't all mass-buy on day 1.... And then the people buying it after they hear it's bad, thinking "how bad can it be?". But then don't complain...
just because 1 part sucked, oh no, now the WHOLE game is ruined!
[sp]Obviously I haven't played ME3. [/sp]
well if you're not an idiot you tend to wait for people's opinions on something before paying £40 for it
besides, the rest of the game is good, it's only the last 5 minutes that can be considered "bad".
i just think it's extremely immature of the community to be lashing out like this and constantly attacking bioware because they think that they're entitled to shit.

everyone I have talked to goes into completely hyperbole and says that the ending negates how great the game was and that it's the most important part of the game lol

voice your complaints, and don't support them in the future.

Perfect logic right there, your parents should be proud of you.

I've seen your posts in many threads now. Why are they always completely dumb though?

Its not a cliffhanger at all.
I've seen your posts in many threads now. Why are they always completely dumb though?
Because instead of trying to understand everything like an intelligent person he'd rather just bullshit everyone with the typical "HURP A DERP DERP UR ALL JUST ENTITLED CHILDREN" malarkey.
