OH GOD I CANT BELIEVE THEY DONATED THEM TO CHARITY WHAT ASSHOLES
you guys are such babies
Lmao does no one else see how completely rediculous this situation is but me
They rasied funds for over 400 cupcakes to be sent at bioware because they didn't like the ending to a video game. Yes, the ending was shit and should have been done much better.
But seriously? Jesus christ people.
No wonder Michael Moore is so fat
I'm pretty sure this whole thing is a giant PR conspiracy. :tinfoil:
Its not a cliffhanger at all.
A cliffhanger would've been better though.
That was nice of them, but they are turning into a shitty company now like EA.
Holy shit, fine, you didn't like the ending, but that doesn't make them a bad company. Just means their writing staff took a strange turn towards the end of a very well received game series.

Apparently, the whole writing on the ending was done by Hudson in one afternoon, with no feedback or assistance to it.
I'm not saying it might be true or not, but it's possible.
It doesn't mean the entirety of Bioware is a bad company, though.
A cliffhanger would've been better though.
no it wouldn't, the ending is fine so long as you understood the 3 choices.
no it wouldn't, the ending is fine so long as you understood the 3 choices.
What's there to understand?
Tell me, because I get pretty much the same damn shit no matter what I choose, except that someone dicked around with the Hue settings in the animation program.

Nobody is mad that they donated them to charity you knob. It's that they used it as a means to act holier-than-thou and say that we shouldn't complain about their shitty ending.

I love how you people are so fucking mad about the mediocre ending to a game a lot of you haven't even played that you'll nitpick the fuck out of ANYTHING to take a shot at the developer.
I'm surprised Bethesda didn't have to go through this when everyone hated the original Fallout 3 ending. Or have gamers just become more fickle and thick as pig shit?
I... can't be angry with them when they give cupcakes to poor children o.e

Umm people were mad at the Fallout 3 ending because you couldn't keep playing after it like you could in their other games and even then they LISTENED to the community and eventually rectified that issue.

Yeah but you had to fork out 10 bucks first.
Yeah but you had to fork out 10 bucks first.
Implying that that DLC ONLY let you play past the ending when in reality it also adds about 5 hours of content give or take.
Implying that that DLC ONLY let you play past the ending when in reality it also adds about 5 hours of content give or take.
That's true.
Still, if you wanted to play past the ending, you had to shell out money first. Money for good content but still.
Implying that that DLC ONLY let you play past the ending when in reality it also adds about 5 hours of content give or take.
It gave you a very small amount of content. Also it took Bethesda 7/8 months to release Broken Steel.
And Bioware has implied it's going to make a DLC for a new ending or something along the lines of that.
It gave you a very small amount of content.

5 hours for the main quests, 14 new perks, level cap raised by 10, a bunch of new side quests, new armor, new weapons.
Sorry, going to have say you're wrong.

5 hours isn't a "very small" amount of content for a DLC plus it was pretty good content so yeah, you're wrong there.
Implied, but they promised nothing, but since they don't even keep the promises they do make I could see why they wouldn't.

Small compared to other DLC.
Even then, this is implying Bioware isn't going to release anything besides a new ending. Or even charge it.
I don't really understand sending cupcakes as a message of disapproval, wouldn't it make more sense to write formal letters telling them how disappointed they were? What the hell is Bioware supposed to do? eat the cupcakes in shame?
5 hours isn't a "very small" amount of content for a DLC plus it was pretty good content so yeah, you're wrong there.
5 hours is not exactly that much.

ME3 JUST came out recently, expecting them to churn out a DLC immediately is a bit insane.

Gamers being fucking stupid as usual
Small compared to other DLC.
Umm no? And what "other DLC" would this even be?

Huh, that's funny, I don't recall saying they should shit it out immediately. I can wait.
Small compared to other DLC.
Not if we're asking EA or Activision :haw:
5 hours is not exactly that much.
Actually it is.

It's easy to ignore a letter. It's kinda hard to ignore 403 cupcakes landing on your doorstep.
It's kinda hard to ignore 403 cupcakes landing on your doorstep.
Weren't you JUST complaining about how easily they ignored it?
Weren't you JUST complaining about how easily they ignored it?
No.
Weren't you JUST complaining about how easily they ignored it?
His point is that it's hard to not notice it. Even here they didn't ignore it, they just pretended to not understand.
His point is that it's hard to not notice it. Even here they didn't ignore it, they just pretended to not understand.

[sp]Shepard's indoctrinated by the Reapers, pay heavy-attention to everything that is said and happens.[/sp]
The iphone app about how Mass Effect 3 was made verifies that the Indoctrination theory is false, and even comes with copies of notes made while brainstorming the ending. They look like they were written on a napkin, and have specific lines about how they should make the ending intentionally insubstantial just because.
