These things hurt the most, nurse failed to inject the tube correctly 9 times in my hand. My hand was black the time they got it right.
my hand is numb all of a sudden. though, I never really felt the needle.
I never thought needles really hurt at all, it was just an insanely weird feeling when it went in.
It doesn't hurt at all but the thought of that fucking thing being inside me just makes me fucking quiver.
I have no problem with any needles, except for the shots dentists give in the roof of your mouth. Fuck that, I nearly bit the dentist's finger off the first time I got one.
Some needles hurt, have you ever taken a needle to the toe?
Yup I have, it didn't hurt, some people just need to stop being pussy's when it comes to needles.
The part that hurts the most is the day or two after you get a tetanus shot.
Aren't there huge needles that are put into some people's back? I feel for them.
Yeah, there's also ones that are for slipping between your ribs, for penetrating the breastplate and for just generally getting into bones. These sure as fuck won't make that hurt less.
It only hurts the first time, then pain turns into pleasure.
Always thought that getting stabbed with a syringe was more of a psychological thing for people, because in my experience it doesn't really hurt.
I think it's both. It's true that it does not really hurt, but the fact that you don't like it from the start probably makes you think it is worse.
What do you expect when a needle punches through your skin layers. I think it hurts, or feels nasty, but I also think it's no biggie.
Have any of you actually considered that for children under the age of 10, this is a revolutionary invention? Kids flip the fuck out when they see needles and I've heard stories where the doctor sits there for half an hour trying to get them to calm down enough to get the shot. It's not just for adults with needle phobias.
I'm afraid of needles, it's a psychological thing. I don't fear blood, I don't fear the metal going into my body, I don't fear the general hospital environment. I just get scared. And I don't know why, it's bloody annoying(No pun intended). After taking blood or a vaccine I have to sit still for 15 minutes and drink lots of water, or else I pass out. For me, "Taking it like a man" isn't an option. It's impossible. Maybe lessening the feeling of a needle piercing your skin will make it easier for people like me.
when they had injections at my school, they'd literally have to put mattresses, couches and pillows around the place for those whiny bitches who think they're sick after they get an injection.
It's not the pain I mind, it's just thinking about a sharp metal spike piercing my my flesh and bursting into an artery to inject stuff into my bloodstream goes through me I'm a wimp.
Damn I thought they had finally invented a Hypo that works like in Star Trek.
During reception from basic training, they would literally stab the needle into you so fast that not only did you not feel a thing, you didn't even realize you got a shot until you saw a bit of blood trickle from the site. Going slow like many docs, PA's and nurses do just makes it hurt more...significantly. During combat medic training my buddy and I tested that notion. Fast is less pain, slow is mucho pain.
It's not the pain I mind, it's just thinking about a sharp metal spike piercing my my flesh and bursting into an artery to inject stuff into my bloodstream goes through me I'm a wimp.
You know that for your average injection it's usually intramuscular, so it doesn't even touch a vein, and if you ever get an injection in an artery then something has gone pretty damn wrong.
I don't think these should be used, having a fear of needles is a good thing. I think it will keep people away from heroin and other injected drugs. Its one of the main reasons I would never touch heroin, I find needles painful and disgusting, all thanks to getting mandatory injections as a kid.

Let's forget the fact that Heroin is usually cut with shit like baby powder and shit like that, you can overdose on it easy as fuck, and the fact that it will generally destroy your body as effectively as shoving a sandblaster up your arse, it's the fear of needles that stops you. And let's not even start with the fact that you don't need to inject heroin to get it into your system.
Always thought that getting stabbed with a syringe was more of a psychological thing for people, because in my experience it doesn't really hurt.
Get bit by a dog and say that after fifteen shots in the abdomen.
Does it still leave track marks... I need to know... because reasons...
I've been getting injections of this really thick stuff every time I go to my doctor. He tells me it'll prevent cancer, so I've gone along with it. Hopefully he gets some of these needles, because that fluid, whatever it is, hurts like hell going in.
These things hurt the most, nurse failed to inject the tube correctly 9 times in my hand. My hand was black the time they got it right.
I was in hospital a few months back when I got crook, the nurse missed three times in a row, popped a valve in my vein and repositioned the catheter while it was under my skin to pierce another vain, all while blood is pissing out all over the floor.

Man that sounds like a pretty bad idea.
You're getting regular injections of stuff, and you don't even know what it is? Man that sounds like a pretty bad idea.
Especially when the excuse is "it'll prevent cancer". Actually sounds very suspicious to me.
Everytime I get a needle I look away, and everytime I ask the nurse what she's waiting for, just to have her reply that it's already in :v:
Especially when the excuse is "it'll prevent cancer". Actually sounds very suspicious to me.
Definitely, don't wanna spook the dude but it is fucking rare as hell for a doctor to be that proactive about preventing cancer, the most they'll normally say is "change your diet and exercise more and that'll keep the nasties away." Unless the kids had cancer and he's in remission.
These things hurt the most, nurse failed to inject the tube correctly 9 times in my hand. My hand was black the time they got it right.
I had a serious surgery a month ago or so - they failed to inject the tube 6 times on the right hand, 4 times on the left hand and during surgery(this didn't really hurt though, as I was sleeping) they had to change it to my foot and it took them 2 times to get it right :(
It would be amazing if they implemented this tech into tattooing guns
It would be amazing if they implemented this tech into tattooing guns
Why? Tattoos don't really hurt unless it's a session that takes over an hour and a half to two hours, and even then if it gets really bad just ask for a little five minute break.
