How's the reception under that tinfoil hat?
Well everything that is cool and innovative, never gets into the mainstream. Due to stupid regulations and the government not wanting it to happen.

Any examples?
It only hurts when the person giving the injection is really shit at giving injections and they miss.
Yeaahhh, it's still a needle. Not putting it in.
Always thought that getting stabbed with a syringe was more of a psychological thing for people, because in my experience it doesn't really hurt.
I've had a needle stuck right in my nerve once. It was the single most painful experience in my life.
putting the needle in the arm at first hurts a bit(I can't stand getting pierced by a long thin object) but after that you don't feel anything
ITT It Doesn't Hurt, Everyone Is A Pussy.
Injections are now for pussies!
ITT It Doesn't Hurt, Everyone Is A Pussy.
Well aren't you cool
I don't think that getting an injection is painful, it's kind of unpleasant sure, but most of it comes from your imagination since you see a syringe and expect it to hurt.
Really the only type of injections I hate are the ones what dentists do to numb your teeth, they don't exactly hurt very much but they are very unpleasant and I just end up holding tightly to the arm rests until it's over and then it's pretty much smooth sailing after that.
I have never been scared of needles and the only injection that ever hurt was one in my big toe.
That is actually the most retarded thing I've read today.
Let's forget the fact that Heroin is usually cut with shit like baby powder and shit like that, you can overdose on it easy as fuck, and the fact that it will generally destroy your body as effectively as shoving a sandblaster up your arse, it's the fear of needles that stops you.
And let's not even start with the fact that you don't need to inject heroin to get it into your system.
Well, now for me to correct you,
I said, "one of the main reasons".......the other reason being that it's heroin......plus I also said other injected drugs, so there goes your "don't need to inject it". You should actually read the post before you decide to be a cunt. It's not like I throw random words into sentences to make it look pretty.
One time when a nurse wanted to tap blood, I told her that the vein doesn't run along my elbow pit, it runs along my forearm. That dumb bitch didn't want to believe it even though you could CLEARLY SEE IT. She stabbed in there like 10 times before she realized "oh, there's no vein."
NO FUCKING SHIT.
That did hurt quite a bit and I was pissed.
This will be damn useful, when my sister got her eyebrow open by falling on the piano stool it hurted a really lot for her whenever they were numbing it to stich it.
Had an injection in the roof of my mouth before.
I don't care what you say about needles, it was fucking agonizing.
Had an injection in the roof of my mouth before.

To be honest my injections in the roof of my mouth for teeth pulling were probably the best.
I was freaking the fuck out, with ny eyes closed, and the dentist did it so fast that I said, 'okay, okay, tell me just before you do it' and he said: 'its already done'.
I was laughing while he was pulling my teeth.
I'm only afraid of those huge needle like the ones they use on your ass muscles, I've heard grown people cry due to that needle, it's huge because the ass muscles are really strong so a regular thin needle would break.
Also I had to have two lumbar punctures taken the moment I was born due to being really lightweight even though I wasn't premature when I was born, glad I don't remember that.
when they had injections at my school, they'd literally have to put mattresses, couches and pillows around the place for those whiny bitches who think they're sick after they get an injection.
You know that fainting and vomiting after a vaccination is very common, right?

That has to be one of the most disturbing things I've imagined.
Aren't there huge needles that are put into some people's back? I feel for them.
I think those are usually for bone marrow stuff, they had to do tests on some of my bone marrow fluid and they had to stab me with a fuckhuge needle, I was put to sleep for it too, so I'd assume it's painful.
Sure I never liked needles, but this seems like it's only going to add to medical costs when people should just man the fuck up.
I used to be scared of injections.
When I was 5 years old.
I used to not fear injections.
Then I got an inferior alveolar nerve injection by the dentist.
To be honest I don't really fear injections because of that, but I've become a bit more wary of needles after that shit (heck it's not even that bad, there are way worse places to get an injection).
[editline]24th March 2012[/editline]
Also ITT: "I take blood samples from the arm everyday fucking pussies afraid of needles man the fuck up".
Guess what, there are a lot of other places where needles sometimes have to go other than a very superficial vein in your forearm (I don't fear needles in my forearm either, but I'm quite sure I'd shit myself if that needle was going in other, more sensitive places).
Why don't they just make syringes that cover up the needle.
Have some sort of aiming apparatus on the top and it'll just look like one of those futuristic injectors that you just slam into something and it injects it.

Somewhat like this.
You know that for your average injection it's usually intramuscular, so it doesn't even touch a vein, and if you ever get an injection in an artery then something has gone pretty damn wrong.
There's at least one injection which is done into an artery, which is taking blood for an arterial blood gases test. I had it done once when I was in A&E, and even that wasn't too bad (it gets taken from the artery in your wrist), though I got lucky as the doctor that did it was very good at it.
Conversely the worst injections I've had are subcutaneous ones. I occasionally have to go on heparin shots, which you inject into the fat in the stomach, and they sting like a bitch.
From my own experience i can tell every injection feels different. Some you feel, others you don't. It sucks not knowing if it's going to hurt, but it also helps me because once i know it hurts it's already too late.
I can see this being useful especially on kids when they use those oversized needles.
IV needles hurt like a bitch, especially when they are left in for a few days.
You're getting regular injections of stuff, and you don't even know what it is? Man that sounds like a pretty bad idea.

Especially when the excuse is "it'll prevent cancer". Actually sounds very suspicious to me.

Definitely, don't wanna spook the dude but it is fucking rare as hell for a doctor to be that proactive about preventing cancer, the most they'll normally say is "change your diet and exercise more and that'll keep the nasties away."
Unless the kids had cancer and he's in remission.
After reading over my post I realize how shifty it sounds, but I've been with this doctor since I moved to Maine so I don't think he'd intentionally fuck me up. I have had skin cancer before and my family history is one of various fatal illnesses, so I can accept that "it'll help prevent cancer." I have an information leaflet somewhere around here, but I can't find it V:v:V
I'm terrified of needles, so this is a big step forward.
The painful part for me is when they inject the substance into my arm/leg. I don't feel the needle at all, though.
I used to be afraid of needles
Then I had to sit with a needle in my arm for about a minute
That changed quickly.
