I had a fairly traumatic experience with needles when I was 9. Nurse failed a large needle injection 12 times. Didn't hurt the first four times, after that my arm started swelling and turning blue-ish. It was terrifying. After that I've had a phobia for needle injections. Had no problem with them before that.
I used to be scared of injections.
When I was 5 years old.
I was too, then he hit a nerve in my leg and I freaked out. Now I'm 21 and absolutely hate needles. I can handle it, but I get anxious leading up to it.
Always thought that getting stabbed with a syringe was more of a psychological thing for people, because in my experience it doesn't really hurt.
Needles in just the last 10 years have come some ways. When I was a little kid getting my shots, the needles were huge, and they hurt. When my parents got their shots, They were the size of small nails
Now days, they're tiny, and even getting multiple shots in the gums doesn't hurt. This new generation of people and forever after won't fear needles
Aren't there huge needles that are put into some people's back?
I feel for them.
Spinal taps.

If they can make these for blood donations and/or blood tests I'll be happy.
I'd suck it up like everyone is saying, but I physically can't. I have a condition that actually causes me to pass out once a needle punctures my skin. I can't help it. The feeling I get before passing out is very accurately described as "a feeling of impending death"
It kinda sucks :v:
One time when a nurse wanted to tap blood, I told her that the vein doesn't run along my elbow pit, it runs along my forearm. That dumb bitch didn't want to believe it even though you could CLEARLY SEE IT. She stabbed in there like 10 times before she realized "oh, there's no vein."
NO FUCKING SHIT.
That did hurt quite a bit and I was pissed.
The best veins are the ones you can feel not see bro.

All needles are not the same, some types of injections still require large thick needles to get whatevers being injected where it needs to be.
