In places like Dubai, or where I live now, in Bahrain. I've known people who've been in Bahrain for 20 years who haven't learned a single word in Arabic, with the exception of "hello" and "goodbye". This is not a "Islamic" problem, but a problem some immigrants of any nationality face. I must admit, it is quite amusing to see you attempt to say that they are lazy etc. when European immigrants are exactly the same Dubai. Go read the local paper here online gulf-daily-news.com and go to the comments section were people can submit a letter that shows up in the paper. People have been complaining about how "they were stopped by an officer who only spoke Arabic" or "X national store manager didn't know that much English!" as if they were demanding people to conform to their culture and language in Bahrain. (I'm not Bahraini FYI).
So stop making this sound like an exclusive 'problem' that only Europe has to deal with "from the muslims!!".

Don't think it's fair to single them out like you did in the second paragraph, a lot of immigrants (not muslims specifically) don't bother adopting new languages, even though they should.
Though the first part sounds more of the same, seems like a lot of these Muslims believe their religious views should transcend over a lot of societal norms.

Most Iranians are Persian. And Sudanese are African along with Chadian people. Islam is often seen as a Arabic religion but it has roots in other races too.

It's hard to say it failed. It worked quite well in a number of different groups. It has massive issues with a number of other groups right now. Also calling germans fascist at this moment is a bit problematic, since they're one of the more tolerant nations these days - just getting massively fed up with the situation.
But in the end multiculturalism as a concept only survives if the immigrants are willing to integrate themselves into the society and uphold it's values. They can bring new things into the society - hell the rennaissance is partially because of immigration - but the overall mindset must be similar.
If the minority is completely unwilling to integrate - or is only willing to integrate if the majority massively changes, then you will get friction.
For instance I know full well that young vietnamese here are essentially integrating. They still bring their own cultures in some regards - food among others. But culturally and socially they are integrating. A lot of them consider the national language as their own.
The older community among them isn't integrating that well and as I understand there's friction among the young and old in the community.
But the new muslim or gypsy communities in europe are different. They're cloistered and do not make any inroads in attempting to integrate themselves. They're actually pushing on governments to allow them even more cloistering.

Well as a german whos been living there his whole life until this summer i can say that its widely right. Immigrants are everywhere, they have a huge criminal uhmm.. Aspect, most of them don't give a shit about german schools, the language nor values and very few are willing to adapt. Especially turkish people are shitting on integration or adaptation and beat up kids on the streets and do whatever they want. And it isnt limited to germany. Here in norway, when im trying to get my citizen license i see a police office filled with persian, indian and other people from that area who dont speak norwegian nor english but claim to be pursued in their home country, seeking asyl in a modern country. And the government pays their flats. Those are also the goons i see when i go on the streets in the evening, but they actually are more calm than the shitheads in germany.
The local Turks give me cheap kebabs because I give them an level of respect and don't treat them like the few shit heads.

When i was in 1st to 4th grade school, every immigrant guy there was around and in the school was violent, had problems with teachers and authorities, stole shit and was failing utterly at school itself. Their parents dont give a fuck, and often dont even speak german. Those guys go to basic or middle school after 4th grade, dont care there, fail their exams and become hobos who rob and beat up people on the streets.
