we cant stop bitching about game being short for speedrunners, additional cosmetic items not being free and this game being tf2 lite
goddamnit
That part was fucking great.
You guys know you can get the items in-game without buying it right?
I believe that might be 360 (or console) only, but I may be wrong.
No it wasn't.
Does it bother anyone that there was ZERO character development during this whole game?!
Now ONCE did I care about Watson. The frinkin' COMPANION CUBE made better company.
Glados wasn't the same either. She seemed dumbed-down and not as harsh.
Not memorable at all if you ask me.

i read that the console versions don't have the cosmetic items full stop

Whoa a turret said thankyou. Then it said it's different. So deep and sad and epic at the same time. Shit these robots have so much personality.
Thanku valve, now I shall buy your useless hats because you can play a sound clip over a turret

Did you play the game with the sound off?
I knew it would be terrible.
and what a coincidence all three are cesspools of stupidity
mind you facepunch isn't looking to great atm
Yeah, any community that complains about a tacky, gimmicky DLC that's hardwired into their newly purchased games is a "cesspool of stupidity."
The shop shouldn't be there at all. It has no affect on the gameplay, but it's cheap ruse of a marketing ploy.
We waited for THIS?!

Shut up.
And the turrets do have a remarkable amount of personality. Y'know, for turrets. The defective ones were particularly cool.

GLaDOS was harsh as fuck. Dammit, Chell is not fat, you gigantic bitch.
I don't want any free shit. I want the game I paid for. I never asked for or felt it was necessary that they put all the extra shit in TF2, free or not - it over-complicated a game that was essentially perfectly simple.
I don't want to have to tell you this, but if you think the game would still be doing as well as it is today without them having done what they've done, you're so sadly mistaken and so wrong it hurts.
you people are dumb
the co-op makes up the "missing" part of the game, it all ties together. :downs:
"HURP GUISE LOOK DA THING WITH NO FACE SAID SOMETHING OMG CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!"
Either you are dumb or haven't left the house.

Some people care about the storyline and whatnot more than the gameplay.

We didn't say it was character development
I find it funny how people are QQing about non-existent Day 1 DLC... yet LBP2 had a relatively short story, Day 1 DLC, and yet everyone still loves LBP2.

You obviously have no soul.
There is no day 1 dlc.
Unless your count hats.
So Day 1 DLC.
So Day 1 DLC.
Its not DLC if you don't download anything

The fact that you don't even know the name of the first character you meet in the game says enough about your credibility.

[sp]Glados with actual personality as oppose to just being an evil AI archetype[/sp]
[sp]Wheatly going from hero/companion to incompetent villain[/sp]
Because they're selling out and nobody cares!
Selling out? It's as if you've forgot the several deals on their games on steam, the free DLC for TF2, and a flexible digital download system. Please stop taking them for granted.
What?
You should really draft your posts more than once because the syntax is fucking horrendous and I can't understand what point you're trying to make. I'll attempt to decipher though.
So you think it is acceptable that the product I bought under the understanding that it was something I would enjoy, and did enjoy, was changed to the point where I can no longer happily use the product? How the fuck is that okay?
That's like buying a toaster and then when it turns into an overly elaborate and complicated grilling machine that no longer simply toasts bread, you just suck it up and accept it.
How is that logical or fair? If they wanted to make an overly-complex version of Team Fortress then they should have made a shitty sequel so that I could still play the TF2 that I bought.
You bought a copy of an online game, you bought a license to an online game. You don't decide the content of said game, the company does as a business decision, and they don't just cater to you you arrogant sod, they have a wide customer base that enjoys what TF2 is now, so why should they keep it where it was and cater to just you and a small market? Yeah, you're talking so good business now.

Honestly, it's like the gaming community at large forgets everything anyone does that's good so they can scream, bitch, piss and moan about how fucking terrible their favourite hobby is now compared to where it was just a few months ago, even though, nothing has changed.
Wait, lemme rephrase that, people like to bitch because they've no idea what else to do with themselves.
Its not DLC if you don't download anything
my opinion is the term DLC also applies to content which is already preloaded, look at Resident Evil 5. Capcom called the content which was already on the disk DLC.
I find it funny how people are QQing about non-existent Day 1 DLC... yet LBP2 had a relatively short story, Day 1 DLC, and yet everyone still loves LBP2.
Because it's expected from a game like that.
