It lived up to the hype what are you talking about
*Gabe fat joke* Also, I'm jealous of others having the game though. Damn college and its dead week extravaganza.
I liked the game. I was disappointed when I saw the hat store thing but since it's optional I just won't use it.
Generally since the website is full of people who were brought here because they played a mod of a valve game, all buy a large number of games via steam and the such they tend to be more pro-valve than others. Hence it is a bit like when Civ 5 or Empire: Total war came out, there were people in both bitching about flaws in the game and on the other side who defended the game. The trend was that sites owned or closely related the game makers tended to be pro and the others (Like fansites for example) were against it. These sort of things always happen with a hugely hyped up game anyways.
The only lie in that is that you didn't mention the black/white situation, a very common thing these days. Either it's the second coming or it sucks a steaming pile of shit. Gamers these days have no idea what a middle ground is.

You know you can get the items by doing in-game stuff.
Am I supposed to agree with them? Sorry, opinions are forbidden, forgot that
So what if the game didn't offer you anything extra to buy, no little stupid Hats that do fuck all for gameplay, what about now? Are you more sure than you were a few minutes ago about Valve?
Anyone else think the Crab Boxes are fucking awesome?
I fail to see how Portal 2 can be done in 4 hours I did it in 6 and that was without searching for ANY Easter eggs, neat findings, etc. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline]
Anyone else think the Crab Boxes are fucking awesome?
no, they always jump off the buttons damnit
no, they always jump off the buttons damnit
For me they always go into hiding mode when on a button.
no, they always jump off the buttons damnit
So don't put them upright.
4 hours of campaign? It took me like 10 hours. Am I really that slow? :ohdear:
4 hours for a game that is supposed to be singleplayer-orientated is pretty pathetic. I've seen films that are nearly 4 hours long and it only cost me £7, not £30.
4 hours? I might be really dumb or something but it took me way more. And I personally think those 6 were better then 35 of a bad game. But on the other hand valve does seem to be getting gready.
Whatever happens, they are going to make a shit ton of money off of the store.
Well, judging by your Steam profile you've been playing the game for 12.5 hours. Did it take 7.5 hours for you to finish co-op mode, considering how smart you are? Edit: 10-14 hours seems quite common for people that have finished the game. Co-op mode takes like max 4 hours.
I played through a chunk of the co-op with a stranger, went back and played through the same chunk with another stranger, then played the latter parts with a friend last night. I have definitely spent way more time on the co-op, partly because I find the co-op puzzles more difficult and it wasn't easy communicating with complete strangers, not for me at least. I'm not saying people that take longer or dumb or whatever, just some people are naturally good problem solvers. Honestly, I didn't really find many of the single player puzzles difficult. Find a way to get high and fall through a portal to come out of a slanted one, launching you to the exit. That's the formula for 70 percent of the single player game.
For a collective of young, liberal and intelligent people...You all come off as angsty atheists, fanboys and radicals who are completely in-tolerant of someone else's thoughts or beliefs. Valve made a bad game. Deal with it.

But I felt that the co-op was quite easy and actually a bit short. I guess it largely depends on who you play with.
;29324712']4 hours of campaign? It took me like 10 hours. Am I really that slow? :ohdear:
well portal could be finished in two hours iirc but i was nowhere near that. anyone with enough knowledge of the levels could blaze though anything

Just finished the single player. It took me about 6 and a half hours playing it without really stopping much, though I'll probably play it again and try to find the secret things.
Opinions don't exist anymore
only if they agree with yours :downs:

Thank you humpalump. You really opened my eyes to this.

It's like suddenly, gamers everywhere turned into toddlers.
