I didn't buy it yet because I don't have the money currently. All my friends that have played it say its great and I'm going to go by their opinion and buy it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean its a shitty game.
So you're just going off what your friends have said about it without playing it yourself? Nice, that's a great way to have an opinion...
It used to be about the classes, the weapons they came with and you just played with that and it was simple, balanced and it worked. There's so much shit going on when I try and play it now that it is no longer a "jump in and have fun" game. I don't even know what half the weapons in the game do anymore. Case in point: the building weapons crap. I paid for TF2, not WoW.
I don't even build weapons. I got them random drop. I don't pay attention to any of that nor the effects of the weapons. You're really over thinking it and the classes are still just as important as they were in vanilla.
that's a bit too much hyperbole
I stated my own personal feeling when I play the game. I really don't understand what half of the weapons do. That is not hyperbole at all.
There's a difference between a map pack and bunch of fucking skins you idiot!
yeh, why the fuck should i pay for a reskin?
http://www.metacritic.com/user/vaervaf oh boy
How did we get from Portal 2 Hat Store to TF2 Class Updates?
It changed the game. I bought that game for a price. I played that game and I enjoyed it for its simplicity. The class updates took away that simplicity to a degree that, eventually, made the game no longer enjoyable for me. Therefore I no longer play TF2. Ergo, the game I spent money on does no longer exist in my games library. I was cheated out of money due to an unforeseeable and irreversible change to the very core of the gameplay.
I wholeheartedly agree with you, Chesty. I stopped playing TF2 for the exact same reason. Sure, I welcomed the first few updates (Heavy, Medic, Pyro), but then it started to get out of hand. The hats, the medals, the weapons - its charm was lost.
yeh, why the fuck should i pay for a reskin?
You don't have to! THATS MY FUCKING POINT!
http://www.metacritic.com/user/vaervaf oh boy
That's obviously a troll, so please, just don't comment anything on it to prevent any idiocy.
I stated my own personal feeling when I play the game. I really don't understand what half of the weapons do. That is not hyperbole at all.
They're not that hard to understand.
You don't have to! THATS MY FUCKING POINT!

You don't have to! THATS MY FUCKING POINT!
I don't have to pay for maps either

yeh, why the fuck should i pay for a reskin?
You don't have to! THATS MY FUCKING POINT!
That's what's so goddamn stupid about this. If they hadn't put it in in the first place you guys wouldn't be complaining. It has absolutely no effect on the game. You're just whining because you can.
I hate how people are saying it is because because of the store and ARG, instead of the actual gameplay.
I don't have to pay for maps either
Yeah you do or you get kicked out of the online game.
I don't have to pay for maps either
but hats don't limit your gameplay, maps do.
I swear to god, I can see why devs are starting to hate gamers.
I swear to god, I can see why devs are starting to hate gamers.
devs dont hate gamers if devs made it obvious they hate d gamers they would lose money devs dont do it because they enjoy making games they do it for the money
Let me shit all over the walls. No one forces you to look at them.
They're not that hard to understand.
Oh shit what is this i don't know what it does IT'S SO COMPLICATED
devs dont hate gamers if devs made it obvious they hate d gamers they would lose money devs dont do it because they enjoy making games they do it for the money
No, actually since I'm going into the game development buisness I've been interveiwing other people inside. So far all I've heard is hate for the hardcore community. I mean hate to the point they are willing to troll us and lose trust from us. They want nothing to do with us because we don't provide anything anymore. We bitch about the good ol' days like republicans.
Let me shit all over the walls. No one forces you to look at them.
shitty analogy
Let me shit all over the walls. No one forces you to look at them.
Christ almighty. It's a little button at the bottom of the menu. All that happens if you don't press it is that you don't buy cosmetic items.
Why don't they make the game free then ? so it will be just like a Korean MMORPG and still profitable!
I'm still pissed off about this, so I have an analogy. Let's say you go into a donut shop and they have plain donuts and donuts with sprinkles. Do you go "SON OF A BITCH WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SPRINKLES?"
shitty analogy
Yeh it was a crap analogy
[img_thumb]http://www.portallos.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/MM.jpg[/img_thumb] Oh shit what is this i don't know what it does IT'S SO COMPLICATED
Why are you people playing dumb all of the sudden? The problem is this - when I'm a Scout and I get ambushed by a Sniper, I expect him to shoot with his rifle, not throw some fucking Mad Milk bottle that causes them to heal magically. I expect things. When each class has more than 1-2 weapon varieties, it's no longer about strategy, and knowing what to do - it's about hoping the guy doesn't have a magical minigun that causes me to burst in flames.
Christ almighty. It's a little button at the bottom of the menu. All that happens if you don't press it is that you don't buy cosmetic items.
Matter of principle. It's Valve, not Activision. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
yes because the donut industry is directly comparable to the games industry
Then again, so aren't shitting on walls and playing games.

Seriously, that's a Scout weapon by the way. How are we playing dumb when we can easily tell which weapon does what after playing long enough.
