How can you not get bored of playing the same thing for 4 years, that's like playing css.
So, you're practically asking me: How can you enjoy a good game for so long?
What the fuck are all you riled up about? It's a fucking game. Hats, do not deter from the game's quality at all, plus they're so insignificant that you shouldn't care at all about them.
Okay, so the single player campaign is short. Isn't there a separate co-op campaign on top of that? Also the game is awesome.
Whoa whoa tf2 just released a new post and they're glad they added hats. AHaha fuck you valve.
I lol'd at that, I don't have any of those hats so their reasoning is invalid. I'm just gonna wait around until summer sales come along, I might not have much time to play it then either so I can enjoy those 4-6 hours of gameplay over the week whilst I'm working. Also any new content made by users if any.
css is still a popular game [img_thumb]http://gyazo.com/643924ffb7fd68ac61359be082e0a444.png[/img_thumb]
i know, i was joking
Okay, so the single player campaign is short. Isn't there a separate co-op campaign on top of that? Also the game is awesome.
For me, the game took about 6-7 hours. Not really that short if you ask me, And that's just the SP.
How can you not get bored of playing the same thing for 4 years, that's like playing css.
Depends. CS:S has a good replay value to it. New maps and gamemodes are constantly being made, adding on to the experience.
Depends. CS:S has a good replay value to it. New maps and gamemodes are constantly being made, adding on to the experience.
I don't really think TF2 and CSS are comparable.
It's about principle, not hats.
What exactly would said principle be? Hats are a cancer? Day one DLC is a game killer?
the singleplayer actually was really short
because you ran straight through it. smell the freakin roses dude. you wasted $50. Im not all the way through it, Ch6, and Its been.... 9 hours? a lot longer than anyone playing it.
What exactly would said principle be? Hats are a cancer? Day one DLC is a game killer?
Buying content that is should've been in the game. And that being done by Valve. You know, the flag carrier of community friendly developers.
It's about principle, not hats.
what a dumb principle go protest for animal rights or clean drinking water not polygon models to cover your head, it's just pathetic
what a dumb principle go protest for animal rights or clean drinking water not polygon models to cover your head, it's just pathetic
You're arguing for the other side, which is the same thing, so why don't you take your advice?
You're arguing for the other side, which is the same thing, so why don't you take your advice?
i'm not arguing for any side, i'm telling you it's pathetic to go on a crusade against hats because of some random principle if you don't like playing TF2 anymore, let me just assure you it's not the hats, you just don't like the game anymore. but because we are social animals and we like to fit in you wanna make sure the reason you don't like tf2 anymore is not a way for people to criticize your tastes but you wanna make sure the reason is some kind of proud principle. that's why you go tell everyone how much you hate hats. it's bleeding obvious though that you just don't like the game anymore, but can't even stand the social impact of saying it
I can't wait until the Portal 2 SDK comes out. I find it ridiculous though, that after so long of waiting for this game, people immediately start bitching when it comes out.
Of course it's not the hats, it's the weapons as I stated a few times already.
replace hats with weapons same benign shit
i'm not arguing for any side, i'm telling you it's pathetic to go on a crusade against hats because of some random principle if you don't like playing TF2 anymore, let me just assure you it's not the hats, you just don't like the game anymore. but because we are social animals and we like to fit in you wanna make sure the reason you don't like tf2 anymore is not a way for people to criticize your tastes but you wanna make sure the reason is some kind of proud principle. that's why you go tell everyone how much you hate hats. it's bleeding obvious though that you just don't like the game anymore, but can't even stand the social impact of saying it
if you care about the "social impact" of saying u dont enjoy tf2 on an online forum you dont deserve to live ever think that there isnt any deeper meaning and hes tellin the truth???
Okay, so I asked all my friends what they would rate the game out of 1-10, of course I got a 9.6. None of them mentioned any problems with it being short, or the hats being a problem. The only complaint was of the physics props.
Buying content that is should've been in the game. And that being done by Valve. You know, the flag carrier of community friendly developers.
Day one DLC that is quintessential to the game, and are often Game changers are a wrong. Hats are not this. Hat's are simple little costumes for your ingame avatars to have. There is nothing wrong with this at all. Not only do they not change the game, but they aren't even out of artstyle or immersion breaking. I see what your trying to say, but it's wrong (opinion). Hats are no different than costumes and outfits in day one DLC for other games like Mass Effect and Street Fighter.
I started playing right when it came out last night, going slowly enough to catch whatever details I could while still keeping a decent pace. At 3 am I stopped, and right now I'm dealing with repulsion gel. So far this game is fucking fantastic. I feel bad for Valve because they have a low user score, from people who don't rate the game for what it truly is, and instead give it a shitty score because of some in-game store that they don't have to use.
I can't wait until the Portal 2 SDK comes out. I find it ridiculous though, that after so long of waiting for this game, people immediately start bitching when it comes out.
Well maybe an EP3 trailer at the end of the game ? Oh no! another hat store! I'm not saying the game is shit btw, it's just that a hat store ? really ? fucking again ? after all the negative feedback on TF2 and they even sell gestures ?
if you care about the "social impact" of saying u dont enjoy tf2 you dont deserve to live
everyone does, don't deny it. if it's not tf2 then it's the music you listen to at school or work, or the clothes you wear. the more time you spend on the internet the more you feel as if the people there are your friends and that's when that social component kicks in
ever think that there isnt any deeper meaning and hes tellin the truth???
??? no
replace hats with weapons same benign shit
No, it's not. I'd love to repeat myself, but instead I'll just quote myself.
Why are you people playing dumb all of the sudden? The problem is this - when I'm a Scout and I get ambushed by a Sniper, I expect him to shoot with his rifle, not throw some fucking Mad Milk bottle that causes them to heal magically. I expect things. When each class has more than 1-2 weapon varieties, it's no longer about strategy, and knowing what to do - it's about hoping the guy doesn't have a magical minigun that causes me to burst in flames.
You know, I can't say that it was a console port at all, except for "don't turn off your console". I finished the singleplayer, and it's FUCKING AWESOME. Also, this game looks better and gives me more fps than L4D2. I am not very happy about Potato Fortress, but it's not a day one DLC, it's just dumb shit that you don't have to buy. Valve did a great job on this game. Also, ironically, I bought this game with my TF2 hats :v:
No, it's not. I'd love to repeat myself, but instead I'll just quote myself.
that reasoning doesn't work and you know it doesn't work. why would you get ambushed by a sniper? why is he gonna throw an item that the sniper can't even use? why wouldn't he shoot you anyway? either you very obviously don't know what you are talking about, or you are completely lying.
everyone does, don't deny it. if it's not tf2 then it's the music you listen to at school or work, or the clothes you wear. the more time you spend on the internet the more you feel as if the people there are your friends and that's when that social component kicks in ??? no

everyone does, don't deny it. if it's not tf2 then it's the music you listen to at school or work, or the clothes you wear. the more time you spend on the internet the more you feel as if the people there are your friends and that's when that social component kicks in ??? no
So, your argument is basically 'I'm right, you're wrong, don't deny it'? [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
that reasoning doesn't work and you know it doesn't work. why would you get ambushed by a sniper? why is he gonna throw an item that the sniper can't even use? why wouldn't he shoot you anyway? either you very obviously don't know what you are talking about, or you are completely lying.
It's an example. Stop overanalyzing everything just so it fits your argument.
So, your argument is basically 'I'm right, you're wrong, don't deny it'?
no my argument is you are lying and claiming to dislike a benign and already criticized portion of a game because you are too addicted to whatever "internet rep" you have to say you don't like TF2 because you are a social animal
