Yeah, as much as I hate to drag religion into an argument that can be separated from it, I've never met a homophobic atheist. Universally, all the homophobes I've had the displeasure of speaking to have been of some religious denomination. Now, that's not to say all religious folk are homophobes, or that all homophobes are religious, but the larger amount of haters seems to come from the nonsecular side of society.
