The concern was, what was this thing built for?
For telling time you big fat cunt. These people need to get a life.
Remember kids, STEM is dangerous I mean given the right chemicals and equipment I could probably synthesise stuff that would be but thats after a year of ochem and 3 years of chemical engineering, this was a fucking clock [editline]16th September 2015[/editline]
The first thing Finland did to reform its school system was raise teaching standards and make the job high paying with tons of gov benefits. Best in the world and not all privatized.
Ya I wish that worked here but we have 1/2 of the political spectrum firmly believing that anything the government does is wrong, the rich never send their kids to public school if they can avoid it, and the poor are too stupid to fund public school operating levies until the schools go into receivership and then the taxes are automatically imposed. My school district was almost like that, lots of lower income folk who were hell bent on voting against school funding until the bond issue nearly quadropled in size and the state threatened to step in, had they funded the first bond none of that would have happened, the school could have kept operating normally, and the way schools are funded in most states is by local votes and local taxes, so rich rich communities have very good public schools and the suburban or rural areas have small schools
You just created a disenfranchised american. Good job
This is beyond hilarious, it reads more like a movie script than an actual news story.
It looks like a movie bomb to me
Are you fucking kidding me.
Sometimes I wish Divine Intervention was a thing
Couldn't they have just taken the clock apart on the spot in order to confirm that it wasn't a bomb?
Couldn't they have just taken the clock apart on the spot in order to confirm that it wasn't a bomb?
but that would be too much like following due process and might compromise their fucked up thought process of terrorists around every corner :downs: jesus fucking christ, it's like they dont care at all for the consequences of their actions, only looking for non-existent terrorists around every corner and ruining the lives of innocent people in the process. Paranoia on this level only means the terrorists are succeeding in their aims of creating and fostering mistrust, and is exactly what needs to be rooted out.
Couldn't they have just taken the clock apart on the spot in order to confirm that it wasn't a bomb?
To be fair, if you believe something's a bomb, trying to take it apart yourself is a terrible idea unless you're a bomb specialist. Besides, there wasn't anything to take apart; it's a circuit board with a display. I can understand that not every school teacher or policeman would know how to identify one.
The article had a video for those who cant see it
There you go. There isn't an incentive to give a fuck.
While that's true, that can't be the only possible reason. There's a lot of countries with free public education, and there's nothing this retarded going on there. Admittedly, not many nations have such a collective trauma-induced paranoia of terrorism, but still...
Why are public schools run by retards?
Idk how it is in America but in my experience once you've factored out the plain incompetent teachers it seems like the worst of the lot always get to the top and the majority of great teachers out there simply teach their subject being told what to do by often malicious and always less qualified people. Then again maybe I have a chip on my shoulder.
Police say they may yet charge him with making a hoax bomb — though they acknowledge he told everyone who would listen that it’s a clock.
What the actual fuck
There you go. There isn't an incentive to give a fuck. The private sector always gets the best talent, because they can demand more money for their skills. The leftovers (and some socially minded -like the engineering prof) go into public because what else would they do? [sp]I've been to both public and private schools and although I liked public more, private was always hands down better for teaching quality[/sp].
Ironically, private school teachers actually make less, on average, than public school teachers while also reporting higher levels of work satisfaction.
This is straight up discrimination, fucking autistic cunts.
What the actual fuck
It really is a wonder how people like that actually get into positions of authority
I'm not surprised, Irving is known in the DFW area for police that ticket feircly and having the most juvenile problems. Minority problems is also a issue. I live in a place which is called Las Colinas, which is technically Irving but people make it a point to not acknowledge that.
This is just fucked up. C'mon, a 14 year old who has such a talent is called a terrorist, because he build a fucking CLOCK? My teachers would've cried over someone with such talent. And what do we get here? Racism and stupidity beyond redemption. And then everyone cries about how society falls apart and "those muslim folks" aren't integrating. Fuck, who wants to integrate into a fucked up society?
My god, this is ridiculous. My dad tells us stories how when he was a kid, they literally made actual explosives for fun using chemicals (not baking soda plus acid, actual nitrated explosives, black powder (very often), stuff like that), and also made their own rocket engines and shit. They had couple incidents that never ended with anything worse than getting grounded by their parents. If I dared to try anything like that in today western world, I would probably get shot on sight.

LOL american schools. Every time I think it can't get more ridicule than this, and then something new pops up LOL

And people say that racism doesn't exist anymore...
Good job!
Disgusting, glad I don't live in America. The person who thought it was a bomb is clearly an idiot, but you'd think the police would know better, which it's obvious they do, but no let's waste time making an arrest because he's a muslim.
I have a bomb on the side of my microwave, there is also a bomb at the bottom right of my screen right now as we speak.

Public Education and Law enforcement. Sometimes I wonder if these people do this intentionally to ruin someone's life, or are simply lacking education.
We all have bombs in our pockets. (cellphones) YUP LOOKS LIKE A BOMB TO ME.:freakout:
That engineering teacher knew what was up before it even happened. Must suck knowing your colleagues are fucking morons.
Sometimes I wonder if these people do this intentionally to ruin someone's life, or are simply lacking education.
Wouldn't surprise me, some of the biggest pocket-sized tyrants are in education and law enforcement. Whenever the two meet it seems like the biggest shitheads of both groups come out to play.
