That's actually something that hasn't been decided yet. It's possible for an independent Scotland to hold the Queen as a monarch in the same way that other Commonwealth realm countries do since there isn't really any bad blood between Scotland and the monarchy, at least not like it is with Ireland.
That's slightly disappointing
Was really looking forward to the flanged greatmace strategy
I think we're gonna have a kind of Scottish bloodbowl to decide who the new monarch is. I've been waiting 22 long years for this, I am prepared.
If only Idi Amin was still alive.:v:

Scotland is the one part of the UK/Commonwealth with a historic reason to do so, too, since Great Britain was created by both the English and Scottish Monarchy.

I know that in the first independence referendum it was stated that the monarchy will still be acknowledged since it''s largely the UK government many Scots have a problem with, not the monarchy. I imagine this will stay the same in a second referendum.
There are a few people who want rid of the monarchy but they are ultra-nationalists who think everyone should speak Gaelic and wear kilts all the time so nobody takes them seriously.
Yep. But if Scotland does this, then we are in real trouble because it will just stack on top of the UK one.
If people didn't want this, then they shouldn't have voted to leave then. There's economic trouble already because of this, so what's the big deal? Nobody gives a shit because now half of the major arguments for staying in the UK are gone.
A vote for leaving the EU is also a vote for Scotland and Ireland leaving the UK. Now that's happened and the UK is going to reap the inevitable "rewards" of it.

If I need to live in a dustbin the rest of my days then it'll be on my own terms and not because of some numpties south of the border.

Well maybe leave voters should have considered the further reaching consequences of a decision like this before making it
If pro-leave people want pro-remain to think their decision wasn't an emotional one made on limited facts and misleading information, then they really shouldn't be tugging on their collar when something that was pretty well telegraphed happens
