Doing this? Sending an e-mail to a british tourism agency? The reaction from the international community won't reach any Nkoreans. Even state media probably won't report "The DPRK recently sent an e-mail to a british tourism agency about missiles"
I meant "doing this" as all this saber rattling they've been doing the past few years that is steadily growing in ferocity.
Man, I wish Obama would just like. Make a video where he reads out loud NK's threats one by one and just laughs at them. It is his second term, why not
As funny as that would be. It would cost lives. Even if it's just random South Koreans.
I meant "doing this" as all this saber rattling they've been doing the past few years that is steadily growing in ferocity.
Problem is with those things that the average Nkorean will (probably) never find out about, aka this thing here right now. What use is saber-rattling if no-one takes you seriously, and the ones who would can't hear it.
It would be quite cool to follow the development of an eventual war it in real time.
As funny as that would be. It would cost lives. Even if it's just random South Koreans.
How can speaking directly cause death? It could only cause death indirectly.
People die, that's bad. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline] ninja
How can speaking directly cause death? It could only cause death indirectly.
I know. That's what I was implying.

Now would be a good time to send 99 red balloons across the DMZ

They're probably being force fed the same stuff we've managed to get and then some. If you're fortunate enough to have a TV there, you get to watch military propaganda all day long between the roaming blackouts. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline]
Now would be a good time to send 99 red balloons across the DMZ
You know I was thinking this same thing yesterday.
Holy shit what at title.
Try fitting that on a business card.
Try fitting that on a business card.
He probably has someone just to say all that as an introduction.
I'm sorry but who in their right mind would want to spend their holiday in North-Korea?
I wouldn't call it a holiday but more of a trip to see how North Korea is like. Sure you can look at videos and pictures but seeing what goes in the DPRK in person would certainly be a sight to see.
Why would they send a e-mail to a british tourism company/agency?
This morning... Hours away... Please
Why would they send a e-mail to a british tourism company/agency?
To, in case this isn't just scaremongering directed to the US etc. and they do think that there's a war really, really close, prevent scandals with their only ally or other nations (but mainly China) by booting all foreigners out.
I wouldn't mind being indoctrinated.
Be my guest: Look at those Imperialists. Their hearts are filled with shame learning about the truth. Shorty after they all pledged allegiance to the Glorious DPRK and their Eternal Leader Kim Il Sung.
I wonder if they ever contacted the US about this attack? What reason would the US have to attack North Korea?
Someone should make a "NK Threat of The Day Megathread"
I wonder if they ever contacted the US about this attack? What reason would the US have to attack North Korea?
We're Imperialist Aggressors. It's what we do, we can't help it! At least in their eyes.
Someone should make a "NK Threat of The Day Megathread"
There were one, but megathreads aren't allowed.
For some reason, North Korea's threats remind me a lot of the priest in Zulu.
I'm sorry but who in their right mind would want to spend their holiday in North-Korea?
It is called extreme tourism.
What genuinely concerns me, provided the source is accurate, is that I have to ask the following question: why would North Korea try to scare off tourists just to act all big and bad?
What genuinely concerns me, provided the source is accurate, is that I have to ask the following question: why would North Korea try to scare off tourists just to act all big and bad?
Yeah. These threats every day seem so obvious and just plain stupid. I don't really think a country like that would be so openly provocative. Makes me think something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.
I wish I had a personal drone just to fuck with north korea right now
Yeah. These threats every day seem so obvious and just plain stupid. I don't really think a country like that would be so openly provocative. Makes me think something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.
They are either: 1) Scaremongering 2) Trying to prevent foreign civilians from dying. It all depends on if they're sincere or not.
Anybody ever wonder how well our missiles are maintained? Most are pushing 40 years old and we haven't really conducted many tests since the cold war.
Not sure if legit, but http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F70B11FF3C591A7B93C3A9178BD95F448585F9 [editline]29th March 2013[/editline] Apparently the article is from the 1950's, so... yeah. [editline]29th March 2013[/editline] Or maybe not...?
If anyone was still wondering if it was really from 1950.
