Guns are a state issue. Like it or not that's more of a right than be able to get married. The tenth amendment differs anything not specifically listed to be the responsibility of the states.
You don't have a clue what you're talking about and quite frankly I'm done with having to listen to your ignorant bullshit, you and the other trumpets still on this site
You had a chance to be reasonable in victory but all you people did was act like fuckwits and continue to be ignorant save for maybe 3 or 4 republican supporters I could name
You are not one of them and quite frankly you're an embarrassment to the name of Republican
if you really think a modern military cannot squash an armed militia, youre stuck in 1800s where everyone was on equal playing ground. I cannot fathom that people actually think they could "stick it" to the government in this day and age.
a modern military coalition of some 30+ countries couldn't get it done against afghanis and iraqis, despite the latter being utterly fractured and dis-organized and the former being an extremely small percentage of the population. Now you suppose one military that will lose a good chunk of its manpower can do that against a nation that is incredibly well armed from the get go, and has huge numbers of veterans in its ranks.
I generally find that people like you who think "modern military" as if its some juggernaut capable of total domination are completely clueless about war. Too many video games. I suppose you think drones grow on trees and can patrol neighborhoods 24/7.

The NVA and Taliban were united political groups with complex motiv s and a hierarchy of competent leaders ready to carry out a prolonged war.

You didnt fight againsz people who only carried m4s and glocks.

You ever seen the Muj? The most advanced thing they could hope for was a Stinger missile.
Holy fucking shit, what even broke your brain that much?
Just so this isn't seen like a flame post, let me elaborate: That's not a humanized thought to have. That makes it feel like you're completely desensitized from the range of emotions you should have as a normal human being. I have enough training to suggest going to an actual therapist and diagnose, I'm not even making this shit up or joking.
You're arguing with FP's resident torture advocate, who's said that, if innocents fall into the gears of the vast government-run torture machine that he longs for, it was probably their fault anyway, and can't be helped. He's been shown countless scholarly sources about why torture doesn't work and still says it does because he likes the thought of brown people being mutilated.
If you're trying to get him to empathize with another human being, you're fighting the wrong battle.
What does that even mean, local firearms? Have you ever been in a gun store? A group of well armed Americans would probably come close to the capabilities of any insurgent group.
Remember when your local gunstore had atgms and manpads?
What does that even mean, local firearms? Have you ever been in a gun store? A group of well armed Americans would probably come close to the capabilities of any insurgent group.
gun stores dont sell T-34s, ATGMs, AT mines, IGLAs, or mortar kits.

Don't hesitate to shoot me a PM if you have any questions regarding life in Montréal, such as the cost of living and the job market. I'll do my best to answer.
I was actually applying for internships at Bioware and Ubisoft there before any of this. I suppose how's a good time to follow through. How': the prices of rental apartments?

At the cost of major civ casualties, no doubt
Remember, Trump genuinely didn't understand why we warn occupied towns before bombings.

Oh you mean things captured or given by a foreign power? All things could totally happen in should this situation arise here.
Don't get bogged down in the 'armed-insurrection' part of the 2nd amendment. There's merit to both sides of the argument (the US military/the federal agencies has incredible resources, but there'd also be military defectors [who would want to slaughter their own countrymen?], local/state law enforcement sympathizers/defectors, as well guerrilla tactics [IEDs, etc just like the middle east/Vietname]). There's the whole argument summed up in a couple lines. Not to mention you aren't going to get through to some people.
This election really brought out the nutters I tell you what

They were always there, except until Drumpf won they were the ones being laughed at for supporting human cancer

no it wont lmao, americans could get their hands on said weapons, but it doesn't mean they are trained to use any of it. Also if a foreign power backed an american insurrection, they would be completely destroyed on an world scale considering how powerful america's connections are. Supporting some rinky dink village of freedom fighters has a lot less weight than an intercontinental behemoth of a super power.
Imagine loving inanimate objects more than human beings
I cannot wait for the next episode of South Park it's going to be fantastic.

I did not know this, however, it is now noted. Thank you.
And with that, I don't think there's anything that anyone can say to that dude, my idea for best idea is just ... let him write in vain and not reply back to him.
What even maims someone's psychology like that..?

Well, the insurgents we fought learned somehow. It's not like we, and other nations, have special forces whose job is to train and supply insurgents secretly. Our CIA did it to plenty of nations, should the shit really hit the fan, no reason some other agency wouldn't do the same.
Wystan it's nice to see you back man it's such a safe space around here these days huh

The US military aint stupid. At the smallest sign of organized rebellion they're gonna be shippibg what they can out of the hot areas. What they cant move theyre gonna protect by putting in troops from states loyal to the Union. You aint gonna get shit to deal with the military and what assets you manage to take you wont be able to resupply.

insurgents learned how to operate extremely simple vehicles, not missile guidance computers, drones, laser guided missiles, or heaven forbid a modern apache gunship and or fighter jet.

Whenever someone provides an argument against your position you just ignore it. Not much point in talking to someone who does not want a debate, and it's quite clear you just want to throw zingers around.

Believe it or not most major world players have a vested interest in a stable US. They'd likely send in support for the government. If you have to get weapons from the Russians or north koreans then you really are anti american.
I wish wystan would stop posting
He doesn't give a crap about other people because he's so privileged he gets to care more about guns, and fails to understand this and tries to spin it like he isn't a morally corrupt person
but fuck it, fuck the world, fuck people, i want my right to shoot things :downs:
