The amount of people who think marriage is just you and another person saying "I love you, wanna be together?" is astounding.
It's so much more than that and provides so many legal benefits.
I legitimately will never understand how someone can prioritize guns over that.
Whenever someone provides an argument against your position you just ignore it. Not much point in talking to someone who does not want a debate, and it's quite clear you just want to throw zingers around.
He didn't provide an argument though. Please point out the argument for the topic at hand here
You don't have a clue what you're talking about and quite frankly I'm done with having to listen to your ignorant bullshit, you and the other trumpets still on this site
You had a chance to be reasonable in victory but all you people did was act like fuckwits and continue to be ignorant save for maybe 3 or 4 republican supporters I could name
You are not one of them and quite frankly you're an embarrassment to the name of Republican

I wish wystan would stop posting
He doesn't give a crap about other people because he's so privileged he gets to care more about guns, and fails to understand this and tries to spin it like he isn't a morally corrupt person
but fuck it, fuck the world, fuck people, i want my right to shoot things :downs:
Not sure how my "privilege" has anything to do with this. The right to own firearms is incredibly important, I'm sorry it's harder for you to understand that. You maintain such a simplistic idea the purpose of owning a gun.
He didn't provide an argument though. Please point out the argument for the topic at hand here
Ive provided many arguments. Youve ignored them. Ignoring them is essentially the same as admitting you cant refute what I said. In essense this means youve alreadu conceded your argument

Kinda like ypur simplistic understanding of the legal and religious inportance of marriage

I have, and then you just change to a different topic. But if you say I'm wrong I guess I am then huh
My simplistic idea of gun ownership is that guns <<< people

Im literally addressing your armed rebellion nonsense a few posts up. In depth might I add.

And it got into off-topic territory and didn't want to continue it further. It was becoming a big hypothetical discussion about a SHTF scenario, not what I meant to discuss.

Ive addressed every point youve made in this thread.
I can't help but find a sense of irony in how everyone who voted to Make America Great Again this election is about to make this country a whole lot worse.
I have, and then you just change to a different topic. But if you say I'm wrong I guess I am then huh
You change to a different topic, not us
You also are excellent at deflecting actual points
you know what it's amazing you can be this deluded and still not understand what's the problem with being so obtuse

I suppose he forgot about all those debates I had with him in other threads before this election when I was nothing if not reasonable, I'm not allowed to be pissed that the orange sociopath won and his supporters are deliberately being assholes, but then they flip right back around and tell us "lol calm down why are you so mad" when they post what amounts to troll bait about "liberal tears being so delicious"
The electoral college is working as intended. We are a republic, not a democracy.
Uh what? France is a republic and we elect our president directly. Also what's the purpose of the electoral college to begin with? What's the point in electing people to represent you to elect a single person at federal level? Direct elections would be more representative and not uselessly complex like this is.
Hell trump isnt even progun idk what Wystan is talking about. He supports banning people on the no-fly list from owning firearms.
You know the arbitrary list that has had innocent people put on it multiple times?

Because to these sort of people it usually comes down to
"gay dudes are gross" (and/or "gay dudes make me uncomfortable")
Never mind that for a long time LGBT folks in America lacked:
- Rights to be taxed as a married couple
- Visitation rights in hospitals
- Right to adopt a child
- Coverage under fair housing acts
- Protections from discrimination in the workplace
- Ability to donate blood, if you're a sexually active gay male ("buttstuff is gross")
- Sex ed doesn't include LGBT sex ed
- Anti-bullying initiatives don't tend to include bullying based on sexual orientation
There's more I'm missing, I'm sure, but its a bit more than just a symbolic title of being married.
Which has its own sentimental value, to be honest. I'm a terribly hopeless and old-fashioned romantic, and maybe its odd for me to be so given that marriage is an older ideal, but its something I've always wanted. I want the same rights to be happy (or unhappy, if you're a pessimist about marriage) as everyone else.
That's all.
Hey wystan may I have your opinion on this
Gladly. Abortion is tricky, personally I don't have a real issue with it and recognize the benefits it provides, in an absolute world I would want it to be a state issue like I said earlier. For what Trump wants to do, it doesn't bother me. Hopefully it makes people act more responsibly, it's not like it's hard to avoid pregnancy, people shouldn't have kids they can't support.

Breaking other peoples shit because Trump won is wrong. That said, I can understand the sense of frustration with your fellow countrymen voting for a fool with no real grasp on governance.
There is nothing we can do right now about it so just wait for him to inevitably fuck up, then elect a Democrat to try and patch the country back together in 2020.
The salty levels on this forum are staggering. You all should open up a salt mine Jesus.
This is not the end of the world, he will not create some Hitler government, the sun will rise tomorrow and the next day and the next.
Good victory for Trump and well deserved. Out with the old and in with the new.

Yea the candidate endorsed by the NRA isn't even pro-gun lmao

This is the sad reality we live in. There is somehow a strong negative correlation between equal rights and firearms. These things should not be connected.

I like how you keep saying "make it a state issue" to avoid actually having to provide a stance.

Thars essentially meaningless and doesnt refute what I said.
I bet that lady who told bernie supporters at the dnc to "grow up" feels especially dumb

Abortion is not tricky. Abortion should be legalized. You say that people shouldn't have kids they can't support while being okay with removing their ability to not have kids they can't support.
I like how you keep saying "make it a state issue" to avoid actually having to provide a stance.
That is my stance. It's simple. I don't know what else you want to hear.

You're still ignoring the fact that he has a homophobe as VP, control of the senate, and the government agencies now kowtow to this orange buffoon. This will lead to trouble sooner or later, if not immediately, they'll still fuck things over for the minorities.
That is my stance. It's simple. I don't know what else you want to hear.
But thats not a stance? What is your stance on abortion? Thats what his question was.
Either way we were set up for failure :(
On the bright side, we won't have to worry about Mongolian hordes pretty soon.
I just can't get over how weird it is that Hillary got more votes than Donald yet she still lost.
