well the way racism works is that if it's not about race, it's not racism. i can further simplify it if you like
So Drumpf can be judged on his skin color because he wasn't born that way, or do I need you to spoon feed me more
that's one you can keep onto, because I really don't get it.

So Drumpf can be judged on his skin color because he wasn't born that way, or do I need you to spoon feed me more
Calling obama a monkey is a purely racial thing and ties firmly into the retarded idea that black people are less evolved and closer to monkeys.
Obama is one of the most chill, sensible, straight talking, politicians I can think of. To call him a monkey is obviously racist.
Trump intentionally paints himself a hilarious shade of orange, and look at the way he acts, The Orangutan comparison is based on his character and his habits not his race. It's not really the same thing.
Is this real? Where is this from?
Please be fake, I don't want to know that the result of the election was completely outside of the control of some of those most affected by it. Fuck.
Even my state which was red by a 20% difference is fucking blue.
Almost true: https://www.surveymonkey.com/elections/map?poll=sm-lv-millennials-nonwhite-cps
For shits and giggles, look up white catholics and white evangelicals. Millenials and nonwhites voted OVERWHELMINGLY Clinton.
why don't you stay there, you sound like the kind of person our own country really doesn't need right now
generally, can we stop throwing buzzwords around, both sides? (but tbqfh mostly the side that spams "leftist" and "liberal" like it's going out of style)
this retarded partisan/ideological division of left/right is dragging attention away from the main thing - solving issues
yes, there are disagreements differences in thinking, but they should be worked out through intelligent discussion, not this caveman-style shitflinging. everyone is too focused on beating "them" or "those" or "the other guys" to care about how we could solve problems for the good of our countries
i live in the former (and current) communist capital of Finland and you can bet i'm tired of the same old red rhetoric of "the struggle" and "butchers". nothing is going to get anywhere if all the people who should make decisions based on discussion act like chimps.
I absolutely would prefer to live in the US over the socialist shithole known as Finland.
If only getting a green card would be as easy as packing my bags.
Agreed, and statistically true. I obviously disagree with any notion that there should be an age limit on voting, because that is fundamentally undemocratic, but I can't help but be a bit bitter about the fact that my generation is overwhelmingly in agreement as to how best to guide our future, and that our perspective has been overridden by that of an aging populace with less personal stake in the outcome. Climate change, for example, is perhaps the single most important issue in the world right now, and it is our generation, and our preceding generations, that will have to suffer the consequences of it. Not to be morbid, but the upper-middle class retirees who overwhelmingly vote Republican each election cycle no longer have a stake in that issue. They'll be ash and bone before the crisis becomes salient even to those who steadfastly refuse to acknowledge it now. Yet, our generation now must suffer at least four more years of a president, and a federal government, that systematically denies it even exists, yet alone plans for how to best handle it.
You're totally mis-understanding the root of the issue. The voters aren't the problem, the system is the problem. Most people on both sides agree that global warming is an issue that has to be dealt with, but politicians are being corrupted by lobbyists. Just look here This transformation is the result of lobbyists, so saying republican/conservative voters don't care because they're old and it won't affect them is just wrong. Especially when there are plenty of young conservative voters out there who will be affected.
So Drumpf can be judged on his skin color because he wasn't born that way, or do I need you to spoon feed me more
Trump is orange because he wears fake tan. It's not his natural skin colour. Literally nothing to do with his ""race"" or whatever.
He looks fucking ridiculous and is, in general, completely ridiculous. So I think he can be mocked for it.

Hes being mocked for how he looks still, when people make racist comparisons, they don't know what their race is really just how they look.
So can people stop calling him an orangutan now? I'm pretty sure you would get banned for calling Obama a monkey based on the color of his skin, what makes drumpf different.
Him winning the election doesn't change what he is. The harsh criticism and mockery won't, and should not, stop. And it's also different because now we live in a world where insulting people by their appearance is behavior that's promoted by the President-elect of the United States (which just so happens to be said orangutan).

haha, it even has the pale patches around the eyes, that's great.
No I said it definitely does have something to do with it. But it's his choice to smear himself in fake tan, making fun of a dude for wearing funny makeup isn't the same as making fun of a dude purely for his race.
[t]http://www.duiops.net/seresvivos/galeria/orangutanes/Animals%20Orangutans_Being%20Coy,%20Sumartran%20Orangutan.jpg[/t] So you are saying that trump being compared to an orangutan as apposed to any other monkey has nothing to do with his precieved skin color.

Trump's race is white. He is not orange. He. Is. White.
It is his choice to be orange through fake tan. So he can be mocked for looking ridiculous.
I cannot believe you are even trying to compare the racist comments made against Obama to the comments made about Trump's fake tan. Dear god.

Are you saying you want someone banned for saying he looks like an orangutang, why are you offended i don't understand

I'm genuinely not sure how you've not been banned yet for trolling. You've done this consistently for the last few weeks.
No. It's not wrong to insult Trump for his skin colour because he chose to get himself a fucking stupid looking fake tan and has monkey-tier thoughts that he refuses to keep to himself constantly.
Yes. It is wrong to call Obama a monkey because there's historical precedent for that being used as a racial slur against black people/ anyone with darker skin as it compares them to monkeys based on the false premise that all black people are morons.
If you cannot understand this, I genuinely wonder how you function day to day. It's a simple concept, one is laughing at a choice the other is focusing on something they can't change that has negative historical precedence.

Get a job there then? Shouldn't be too hard in the greatest nation on world. You know since Finland is such a socialist shithole, you always could just stay in America illegally so you wouldn't have to step another foot in this disgusting socialist paradise.

So you guys do accept that it really is wrong, its just that the person its targeting allows it to be ok. That's fine I accept your point, and I wont pursue this any more knowing that
(which just so happens to be said orangutan)
But that's not true, it didn't just happen to be an orangutan.

Yeah, I suppose that may have been an unfair generalization. Sorry about that. I'm obviously more than a little bitter about this election, and it's pretty easy to slide into cynicism. Regardless of whether the issue is systemic or not, however, it stands as a fact that it is primarily (and overwhelmingly) conservative politicians who refuse to acknowledge the importance of global warming and the immediacy of its threat. The most direct and democratic way to fight that is to simply stop voting for conservative politicians. Lobbying is a much harder beast to wrangle, and one that we, as individuals, have much less power to accomplish.

Bush Jr. was photoshopped all the time to look like a monkey, I don't see why we have to put a protection notice on one President because of his race when it was so prevalent with his predecessor.

I don't understand what you mean.
Bush Jr. being photoshopped onto a monkey was not racial and was used to indicate his idiocy.
The same type of things being done to Obama are often racial due to the racist language used in the past to describe black people.
Those two things are entirely different thanks to context.
I don't understand what you mean.

Why is it deemed racist instead of being invoked in the same vain as what happened to Bush Jr?
People think Obama is an idiot too, without having to be racist.

I really don't get it why anyone would want to pay half of their salary as taxes and in return have the goverment nannying over every aspect of you life.
Perhaps the turnout of this election will have a positive effect in the struggle to reform the liberal movement into something that isn't so detatched from reality.

Too bad they're only going to feel vindicated and feel further entrenched.
Why is it deemed racist instead of being invoked in the same vain as what happened to Bush Jr?

Because of context. "Monkey" or "ape" was and is often used as a racial slur against black people. It's not typically done to white people.
People do think Obama is an idiot but calling him a monkey has significant racial implications.
Why is it deemed racist instead of being invoked in the same vain as what happened to Bush Jr?

I don't know, maybe it's because "monkey" has long since been a racially charged insult aimed at black people? Use a little critical thinking once in a while.
Because of context. "Monkey" or "ape" was and is often used as a racial slur against black people. It's not typically done to white people.

All things are fair play and it's up to people to interpret things as you are now.
You see racism, I see people invoking the same insults used on Bush Jr. on Obama.
I don't think there is any factual information for either opinion other than "people can be racist" which can be used in broad paint strokes to paint whatever narrative you want.

So what are you waiting for? Get a job in USA, move there and forget that Finland even exists. I really don't get people who cry about something, but won't change a thing about it. No one is forcing you to live here.
