I'm just mad that Hillary's hubris fucked this up so bad for us. We could have had Bernie and prevented this.
Everyone involved the the DNC needs to be ousted from politics and replaced with fresh blood. The DNC doesn't have the capacity or the right to try and correct the 4 years of hell that they unleashed on the country. I hope to god this is the end of the Republican v. Democrat binary system, but I'm sure in 4 years it'll just be the same shit all over again and people will have already forgotten about the time Democrats cheated us out of a decent leader.
Oh man I really hope that all this shit is false flags as it typically has been in the past but part of me knows that it probably isn't
I did a Google search for the Zoraida tweet (I figured it would likely be an easy search since the account was verified and therefore presumably well known in some circle), and it pulled up a legit result (although her account is private on Twitter, you can see a direct quote of the Tweet on a Google result).

That happens quite a lot. I don't know if that's what's going on here but I fucking hope to god that it is
Oh man I really hope that all this shit is false flags as it typically has been in the past but part of me knows that it probably isn't
I'm really split, all of this straddles the fine line between too absurd to be real, and too real to be fake. I feel like there's definitely going to be a ton of made up stories and false flag social media manipulation bullshit floating around, but there's also going to be a ton of genuine real cases of people being racist and awful in the wake of this election. Stuff like the guy in a MAGA hat literally grabbing someone in the crotch and saying "Are ya scared now, liberal cunt?" is so beyond fucking retarded I have to assume it's fake, but some of the other stuff like the graffiti I could definitely see happening.

All I can hope is that Trump makes good on his promise that he made in his victory speech to try to unify and heal the nation, because thats what we all really need. And, especially, we need to root out all of those who take the opportunity to harm and intimidate on both sides because they are the ones that are just twisting the knife in an already deep cut
Welcome to Trump's America. He's not even fucking president yet and this shit is already starting.
Welcome to Trump's America. He's not even fucking president yet and this shit is already starting.
I can't even blame Trump, these are just bad people using the guise of politics to do bad things. I have a feeling even if Clinton won the Trump supporters would be in the same frenzy and doing the same things and I'm sure that guy would have still gotten beaten up for supporting Trump.
The easiest way to think of it is that the wider the gap becomes the more likely a demagogue is to slip through
I can't even blame Trump, these are just bad people using the guise of politics to do bad things. A bit of blame goes to him.
People used the word to refer to black people. At the time, the word "nigger" meant "black person". That's what the meaning was. I don't see why you need to get any more specific. It was used by white people to refer to black people period. Like, try to stop viewing the world from a 21st century point of view. You're a black slave in an alternate 18th century america. Everything is identical to actual 18th century america, except for the fact that instead of calling black people "niggers", people just refer to them as "black people". Are you going to be offended by people who call you and other slaves "black people"? It's just the way everybody refer to you, what you're going to be outraged about is the disparaging treatment you're the victim of, not the way people call you.
Let's put this in plain text for you, I honestly don't know why you're having so much difficulty understanding, but here goes: The term "nigger" was employed in a time and place where black people were considered "subhuman", fit only to be slaves and somehow "inferior" to white people. You are correct in saying that it was the only thing black people were called, but you have understand that at this point in history, being black in America meant you weren't considered a person at all. At best, you were a "free nigger", and if you were lucky you could expect such luxuries as being barred from entry in most public areas, being paid drastically reduced wages (if you could even find work at all, that is) and were considered "free game" by criminals because the judicial system at the time did not consider you worthy of human rights. All this and you ran the daily risk of being abducted and sold back into slavery at any moment, and being unable to fight for your own freedom because people could literally just destroy all your identification papers and claim you were just "some crazy nigger telling stories to try and get out of working." This "luxurious" lifestyle was a rarity, keep in mind. Very few black slaves were ever freed from their bonds until the emencipation act. And of the few that were, thousands were sold right back into slavery later on, and none of them were fully protected by the law, because the term "nigger" meant "less than human". But more likely, if you were black and living in 1800s America, you were property. You were "owned", and treated a slotted more than livestock. Nothing belongs to you, not the clothes on your back, the hair on your head or the flesh on your bones. Your owner can do whatever they like to you and nobody would bat an eyelid, because it's not a crime to damage your own property. It's not rape, because you don't even get to say "no". It's not abuse, because you're feelings don't matter and "violence is all they understand." It's not murder, because your life isn't your own. Your feelings don't count. Because you're not human, you're a "nigger". Do you understand, now, why it's not acceptable.
The country is in fucking shambles. I've never seen things this bad.
If people thought racial tensions were getting bad during Obama's presidency, I dread the day people protest a cop killing a black person under President Trump. Fuck, I dread hearing Trump egging on people and "telling it like it is", leading to an even deeper divide.
I'm just constantly flip-flopping between trying to accept that people had their reasons for voting like they did and being absolutely furious when I see stuff like what was posted above.
I'm just constantly flip-flopping between trying to accept that people had their reasons for voting like they did and being absolutely furious when I see stuff like what was posted above.
I was (slightly) starting to get into the acceptance stage, but then I saw what I posted plus the video, and now I'm back to having that nauseous, sinking feeling in my stomach. He isn't even in office yet and we have at bare minimum four years of this shit...
The extreme right and the extreme left, both of them are dangerous communities in this country. I wish that in the next election, we would have a political party of Centrism. I believe that through Centrism, tackling down on certain issues, we would become closer to equality and the extremism shall fall
I'm just constantly flip-flopping between trying to accept that people had their reasons for voting like they did and being absolutely furious when I see stuff like what was posted above.
People had their reasons, and the reason is that they're despicable, bigoted piles of dogshit.
very excited for this extremely pro lgbt candidate
What infuriates me about this is how it's literally denying progression as a society. By leaving the decision up to local state you're giving them the right to remain discriminatory against something that they have no right to intrude on. The entire point of national legalization is that it shows LGBT deserve equal rights as much as any other sexual orientation, and to roll back into ANY scenario where communities are allowed to deny people those rights is disturbingly backwards.
People had their reasons, and the reason is that they're despicable, bigoted piles of dogshit.
Not all Trump voters were voting out of bigotry (even though it was a definite oversight for sure), and using rhetoric like that only adds validity to their persecution complex which they feed off of. It's better to recognize that people can have varying motives, and try to understand those instead of speaking in absolutes and blanket statements. BDA was talking about this earlier in one of the election threads.
I don't disagree, but (as you pointed out) the reason for the degeneration of substance is exactly what I'm referencing. The political entrenchment has fed into rift of perception rather than reality. "BLM hates cops! People who don't support BLM are racists!" It has become increasingly difficult for either side to admit that the apparent opposition ever had any merit. Tather than being willing to see that this anger is actually fueled by legitimate problems, it becomes a matter of finding examples of the bad eggs that confirm your suspicions, and as this rift gets wider and wider, this gets easier and easier to do.

People had their reasons, and the reason is that they're despicable, bigoted piles of dogshit.
Boy, and you wonder why Democrats lost!
The vast majority of Trump supporters I've interacted with including this forum aren't bigoted
Watch it backfire on them as most states end up retaining their gay marriage ruling or passing it anyway.
Whether or not that happens it sets a grim example of what's to come of a trump-pence presidency when laws that serve ZERO function but to strip rights away from citizens are even CONSIDERED reasonable enough to pass. It's fueled by nothing but pure hate. No matter your age or race there's zero reason to regress gay marriage beyond pure hate and spite for those who are different. A president who supports that shouldn't deserve to get anywhere near the oval office.

I don't think it's valid to post hate crimes at the moment. I'm probably wording this horribly and my apologies but with both sides doing some insane extremist bullshit to each other it seems hardly fair to just post the negatives of one end and act like their specific side of the vote is "clean". A lot of people are dissenting those who just want people to work together now that it's over as being spineless cowards and I find that just as toxic. Really, what's wrong with hoping that as a nation we can still get along until this trainwreck is handled?
