what the hell does rag-tag mean anyway
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=rag-tag
rag-tag
adj. a mish-mash; an ecclectic mix.
example:Brenda and I were part of a rag tag group of hookers, child molesters, nudists, naturists, and millionaires who drank Colt 45, shot up heroin, got dope sick, ate excrement, munched carpets, and participated in Satanic rituals.
Any terrorist that would launch a nuke at an american city is fucking retarded.
What we should be worried about is a fucking dirty bomb.
Any terrorist that would launch a nuke at an american city is fucking retarded.
why
Because they should use a dirty bomb instead.
A nuke would kill a majority of the population in a city, but a dirty bomb would make
It so the city would have to be evacuated for around 30 years. The long term effect would be devastating.

In comparison to recent acts of terrorism, any form of attack involving nuclear material would be more than satisfactory. The motives behind terrorism tend to run a bit deeper than "I'll render the lands uninhabitable with my doomsday machine!".
If this was Bush you all would be calling him a fucking moron.
Quoted for truth.

I second that
Though radioactive stated his opinion in a profoundly ignorant way, I have to agree with him. It didn't take the top scientists in the world 2 years and enormous amounts of funding because it is an easy task to do.
Acquiring a nuclear bomb? haha, no. Though movies make it look easy, no terrorist organization would be able to acquire a bomb without the US hearing about it. They would have to bribe hundreds, if not thousands of people, and there's just no way you can do that without somebody ratting you out.
Sure, a short summit about it is a fair precaution, but I highly doubt that any terorist organization will ever aquire a nuclear bomb.
Also, dirty bombs are not bombs that can irradiate an entire city. The worst it will do is get a few blocks irradiated, if even that. The danger with those are them being set off in public areas.

this is why most smart terrorists don't buy the whole thing, instead they buy piece by piece and assemble a ghetto ass excuse of a nuclear weapon. they're a lot smarter than you might think.

any sort of nuclear weapon would leave an area irradiated.
Don't know why this thread remainds me of this video...
All this talk of them making one, using a rocket, Ladi da ladi da
They only need to steal or buy one and detonate it in a city, they don't even have to have the whole thing, just that nice bit that goes Bewm

you make it sound so easy. If it was simple, it would have happened already.
And they're going to get that into any country - how?
Get a boat, place the bomb in it under a bench or something -> sail over Atlantic, dock at New York.
Blow shit up.
Sounds like bullshit to me, just another way to reason another war
The issue with terrorists and nukes is that's it's very difficult to get your hands on nuclear material. Where would they get them from?

Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, USA.
Hey guys, did you know the Russian KGB used to have a few hundred suitcase nukes in stock?
And that almost half of them is missing?
Enjoy your sleep. :v:
Most of you people don't know that there are devices that can detect even the tiny pit of radioactivity from fucking far away.
For all we know there would have been tons of nuclear weapon strikes prevented in the country, just to be covered up so to prevent mass panic.
If they actually nuke anything, shit will happen.

What if Terrorists nuke Israel?
What if Terrorists nuke Israel?
It's good target. They could get a nuke there in many ways.
Well it could lead to huge attack on middle east or even world war 3. Fighting sides would be western world vs. middle east/islamists.
Either way people would be scared as fuck.
If they actually nuke anything, shit will happen.
No it won't, and that's the main reason that a terrorist nuclear attack is so worrying, there's no real counter that can be made to it.
You can't blame any specific nation, and you can't just go nuking townships.
The nuclear game's rules have changed, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was mostly luck that terrorists haven't got their hands on such weapons yet, among suspicion that suitcase bombs exist and went missing, various nuclear weapons stockpiles in ex Warsaw pact countries, and the growing threat of export from rouge states like North Korea and others.

Enough people get into the US from Mexico, and that's the major point of entry of illicit people and cargo, a terrorist organisation could be quite readily organised enough to sneak in a van
I'm surprised we haven't had water supply attacks yet.

fuck you now i have to reinstall this game
I wouldn't call them a rag-tag team by any means
Perhaps that was a poor choice of words.

World War III sound pretty one sided.

Your average city puts out enough radiation to make a Geiger counter go crazy. A weapon kept inside of an insulated container would not put out anymore radiation than a standard TV.
you make it sound so easy. If it was simple, it would have happened already.
Well it's much easier than trying to steal an entire ICBM
