I don't get why people like final fantasy so much. [editline]14th March 2013[/editline] I can understand the originals but after 4 its just like who gives a fuck anymore
lol anyway FF7 for the PC was meh, if you really wanna play FF7, you should really know where and how by now
It's exclusive to the Square Enix store, yes. From what I've heard it runs on modern systems but still uses the shitty MIDI soundtrack from the original PC version. Apparently you can mod in the PS1 soundtrack though so there's a workaround.
The PC version of the game actually has a small modding community. With the improved field models, the PSF soundtrack and the HD screen resolution mods the game is actually very playable as far as I know. FFVII has also been released on the Vita as a downloadable title that runs on a neat built-in emulator. It's not expensive at all off the PSN.
Quit following ValveTestApps, please. They are, uh, valve test apps.
Don't hold your breath. I don't know about console and PC rereleases, but the prices on iOS and Android are crazy.
I just bought it on PS3 for $9.99 [editline]14th March 2013[/editline]
The PC version of the game actually has a small modding community. Well, I bought a PS1 version of FF7 last month ... :v:
My FFVII disc one for PS1 never worked :(
And another one this time Naruto Shippudden http://steamdb.info/sub/26350/
Playing the PS1 version on an emulator is probably more playable than the PC port lol
Man. Naruto fighting games are the bomb. I can't wait.
Just give me FFIX already on the pc. I could care less for FFVII or FFVIII. Sure they might have been popular when they were released, but for me FFIX is probably the best FF game overall.
Wasn't there like an ass-load of people using Greenlight to beg Valve to put some Naruto game on Steam?
I wish FF IX was on PC :smith:
that game is one of the best FF's, and yet people ignore it
Here's another weird one SUDEKI! http://steamcommunity.com/games/233350/
Commit sudeki
I want FFVIII on PC so I can relive the glory of spending hours stealing magic from monsters and abusing the Junction system to make myself the ultimate being without having to juggle memory cards and four PS1 discs.
I wish FF IX was on PC :smith:
It's funny how so much people love IX. Was just talking with a friend about how awesome it is aswell.

I liked IX more than VII, also Sudeki was one of my favorite game as a child, I'll be buying all of those, holy shit.
FF9 was also one of my favorites, I would kill for a PC release of it. God damn it was awesome.
I'd love a FF4/5/9 release on PC. Maybe tweak the textures to be higher resolution and all that. Albeit I doubt we're really going to see this released to PC anytime soon, but here's to being hopeful. Besides, I need to slap Ozma's shit around again.
maybe it's for their steam box console? :tinfoil:
No, he really is. People only worship it for the same reason some people worship X and some people worship VI. Because it was their first final fantasy. Simple rose tinted glasses. Either way the PC port was horrible and this will be no improvement over the re release that square did a while ago. The controls suck, the music sucks because it's some lame midi bullshit. Just grab a PSX emulator and shove in your old copy of FF VII, it'll be much better.
The translation is much better on the PC version. I recently got the PS1 version of FF7 and playing through it after having played the PC version years ago was quite amusing. So many characters say random things that are completely out of context and irrelevant, and yet in the PC version that was mainly fixed.
