Wow... and I thought he was a nutjob as is. Why do people still support this guy?
"make all kids go to school without the opportunity to drop out until they hit 18 no matter what"

If he was afraid of being attacked for picking a side on something as important as SOPA, then he shouldn't have become president. Yes, it was stopped, but no thanks to him other than some generic "statement" from the whitehouse (yes, the same people who ignore your change.org petitions). I don't give a shit what he was a "victim" of, the same way nobody cares that RP was a "Victim" of blatant media blackouts and voter fraud.
And by manipulate I meant lie to the media about diplomatic things like how Osama Bin Laden wasn't buried at sea, but was actually flown back to the USA. There is a ton of bullshit that you people ignore, but you criticize and write off decent people like Ron Paul for things he "allegedly" said 30 years ago. I know I'm missing some good examples, but I don't have the time to go to some Politifact-like blog source to dig up all of the crap he's let us down on right now.
(note: I do not agree with rp on slashing gvt agencys/departments, but thats not the point)
Thinks that Ron Paul would have handle those events differently.
I think all candidates in the US presidential elections are awful except Obama.
Because re-electing Obama atleast shouldn't make matters any worse.
Edit: Cornell university has claimed after it's research that the biggest flaw in democracy is that most of the voters are too unsophisticated (and sometimes unintelligent) to recognise good ideas.
This can lead to mediocre leaders with good rhetoric or populistic views being always elected.
All Obama did was spend us out of a recession that needed to take place. He just postponed the inevitable and made it even worse. Our economy doesn't need to be fixed it needs to be rebuilt!
And now the fed is printing more money to pay for the huge deficit. Pretty soon china is gonna stop buying our debt when they realize we can't repay it. Then that's when the real crash hits. Our dollar is losing value at a accelerated rate, that's why oil prices are so high. Reality is gonna smack us on our ass. Libertarians and true conservatives see this and have seen this coming for a long time.

You clearly have no idea what libertarianism is about.
and the amount of shit he ignores scares the hell out of me. (i.e. cruel punishment of Bradley Manning, corruption in the drug war, ignoring that he went to Washington to change the status quo but all he really did was reinforce it, ignoring failure of middle east wars, ignoring gas prices, basically ignoring SOPA/pipa etc)
So in comparison, you think Ron Paul can address these issues effectively? Moreso then Obama?

Fyi most of the money that is inflated is not real or doesnt exsist. Oil prices are high everywhere if you havent noticed.
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
And not to mention that the conservative's economic plan was proven to send us even more into debt than out of it.

no actually my post was just a joke to fulfill your amusement
Obama is one of the worst presidents ever elected. Obama is a bastard. I don't wan't any GOP candidate to be president but ron paul is STILL better than Obama IMO
Obama is not a bastard.

Well looks like I got told then.
Seriously though, do you plan on ever counter arguing any of the above replies or are you content on trying to use wit to seem better then us because you can't properly argue?

Maybe you should put on your reading glasses and have a look at my last 6 posts?
And if you don't have the intellectual capacity to gather what I was implying, my answer to your question was a yes

So we're not deserving enough to get a straight answer? You could've said yes and that would've done just fine, instead you insist on being an asshole. You honestly think that'll help your case? Yes I understand the sarcasm but when you're being an idiot, talking down people who take the time to reply to your pieces and selectively ignoring arguments and picking up ones that are easy to reply to you're not in the position to use wit.
Besides I don't think I've ever seen you actually write something in favour of Ron Paul, you just seem to be bashing Obama and what he should've done. Saying your opinion about Ron Paul does not make for a convincing argument, btw.
There's nothing wrong with admitting you can't argue either.
i won a cactus at a school raffle once
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
oh my i misread how embarrassing
Ron Paul 2020!
I was going to argue and make concise and logical points, but I think I am done for the night.

This is a really fascinating video though. I may join the Ron Paul revolution.
i cant wait for obama to win and put all this ron paul bullshit to rest.
I read the thread title as cactus
If the presidents were food
Ron Paul would be a chocolate. Delicious to begin with, but since it's all you'll eat for 4 years you get diabetes and your internal organs start having problems and you die.
Mitt Romney would be a carrot with insect poison still on it. Not too healthy, might get you through the day, pretty bland and boring.
Newt Gingrich would be a pre-chewed marshmallow, mostly because he looks like one.
Rick Santorum would be a deep fried turd
and Obama would be an alright dinner made by the worlds best chef. Sure it's pretty alright. Gets you through the day, fills you up. It's just a bit disappointing because it's made by the worlds best chef so you'd think he'd be able to make a better one.
Watch as the media completely looks away.
Ron Paul will turn taxes into constellations!
I'll come back when I can mount an actual thought out proper argument.
i doubt you have ever or will ever be able to do that.
2. The NDAA was passed, once again, by Congress, and was impossible to Veto. Veto-ing it in vain would have been a huge political risk, especially when he needed Congress' support on other issues. Also, the NDAA only targets non-US Citizens. I still do not like the NDAA (and neither does Obama by the way), but there is no point in exaggerating its effects.
Oh hell no. I'm letting this slip under the radar. It most certainly does affect U.S. citizens.

Sections 1021 and 1022 must be repealed. The rest of the NDAA is fine.

Obama would be a PB and J sandwich. Familiar enough that you don't hate but you crave for something better despite there being nothing else in the kitchen.
I think ron paul is the most sane out of all the candidates. Lets be serious, he is the only one that can be even considered to be reasonable.
You're really stretching that 'reasonable' bit.
Ron Paul is the most promising GOP candidate in the last 25 years, in terms of honesty and integrity.
He's not a scummy douchebag with his politics and can't be bought. Even if you don't like some of his ideas you can still man up and have some respect for the point he's trying to make.
...and I viciously hate republicans
He can be honest, but that doesn't make his awful ideas any less harmful. Okay, he's openly destroying the country, thanks honesty.
the only thing that is important here is that Ron Paul consistently has an even number of hairs on his head
[editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
Also, he did not even get more than 1 delegate. I would not call him that much a winner based on that.
Also, Ron Paul knows your dad by a different name!

It's because he's black isn't it?

You are purposely acting ignorant to attack Obama. You know that he did not support the NDAA, and you know his reasons for signing it. The Republicans go away with the perfect crime with that bill. They forced him to sign it and they gave themselves a platform from which to attack Obama.
This video from the liberal young turks makes me support Ron Paul but only over other GOP candidates. 'm still voting Obama (not like RP will be the candidate)

C'mon even the liberal Jewish Jon Stewart likes him:
http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-september-26-2011/exclusive---ron-paul-extended-interview-pt--1
But like what is said in the first video, even though most liberals disagree with more than half of his issues, the fact that the corrupt institutions hate him shows maybe we need more people like him in government.
Why do people keep acting like he's an honest to god politician? He's as inconsistent and a liar as the rest.
