Facebook facing class-action lawsuit for ‘invasive scanning’ of private messages
The Facebook class-action would cover any Facebook user in the US who sent or received a private message in the last two years that included a web link.
what
I kind of want to know how many other chat services follow links. It shouldn't be too hard to test. Just make a web server and start sending links. In fact I'll go do that right now.
I've received plenty of spam links over the past two years. Surely they aren't giving everyone covered under "received/sent a link in the past 2 years" anywhere close to that amount of money. Even $200 is farfetched, let alone chasing anything above $1,000/user.
i get a bunch of rethink isreal ads thanks to my racist group chat with my friends
