People who suggest killing and torturing him also support the way middle east lives in dark ages.
Fuck you people, YOU are the cause our society is advancing so slowly. Why do you want to live like in the east where stoning and murder is a normal thing? I mean really, fucking savages.
you idiot, this guy tortured, raped, and strangled a girl because he had a sexual fantasy, he deserves to die a slow, excruciating death.

Go to Saudi Arabia then just stop shitting up western society with your stupid beliefs

I only say child murderers deserve this, not people who have different beliefs than I do

Zeke just thinks child rapers and murderers deserve equal treatment and doesn't see why anyone would think otherwise

Why only child murderers
What about someone who murders an adult
Three adults?
Where does this line go

Appending "child" to it only appeals to the emotions of stupid people, it won't help your argument. You people would be crying for blood in a jaywalking thread for fuck's sake
Where is the line between sentencing yearly sentences
Where is the line between sentencing yearly sentences
Written in the criminal code
Written in the criminal code
How so? They give a minimum and a maximum, the specific sentencing is dependent on what? The judge or jury, right?

you got issues man, maybe I'm too idealistic with believing that children are all innocent and such, but there's a huge fucking difference between murdering a forty year old man and a twelve year old girl

Judge, actually.
So what's the problem? Why do you have a hard time seeing the difference between putting someone in jail to rehabilitate and/or protect society and torturing someone for revenge?

I don't have issues I'm just capable at looking at a situation and not getting emotional and letting my judgment be clouded.

no matter what he's gonna be assraped to death in jail, I think even you know that

Yeah.
And the rapists need to be charged with rape. Just like this guy who was charged with the crime he convicted.
See how well uniform standards work?
Human rights don't exist.
Still inhumane.
Still inhumane.
Don't feed the troll
Yeah.

they don't work that well at all, because killing a child is the most criminal thing you can do, children aren't the same as adults, the sentences should always be harsher for child-killers and lighter (but still existing) for people who kill or maim childkillers
Murder is murder, but the man should still have a right between death and life time sentence. I personally feel that medical research on inmates is a good idea as long as we get their consent.

Putting someone into jail forever without possibility of parole isn't for rehabilitation, it is the definition of torture, and it only exists to torture the person who gets the sentence (and well, protect society too), you might as well kill them, they'll be wanting that anyway.

no, he deserves to stare at a concrete wall for the next fifty years locked in with people who know exactly what he did and hate him for it
no, he deserves to stare at a concrete wall for the next fifty years locked in with people who know exactly what he did and hate him for it
From an objective point of view, I can't tell who's worse, people who want someone to sit in a cell getting ass-raped and harassed for 50~ years, or people who want him dead without much of that trouble
I opt for a medical treatment option. Inmates can just choose to participate in possible vaccines, and antibiotics. They have lifetime and death sentences, so why not make some positive contribution to society while they're at it.

Thank you. I offered this idea in my English class, and I got a lot of stares.
This is terrible, the murderer deserves torture in the way he did to her.

Jail's intent is to rehabilitate. And if the person can't/refuses to be rehabilitated, it doubles as a method of keeping society safe from someone who is going to commit a crime again.
This is very sad. :frown:
the medical idea, just don't give him any anesthetics as the doctors cut him open

life isn't this idealistic, people escape from jail, the criminal justice system is far from perfect, and people don't always get what they deserve

Jailbreaks are incredibly rare.
And to destroy your viewpoints further, the rate of innocents being incarcerated is higher than the rate of jailbreaks so your logic should take you to the conclusion that prisons should be humane for the people who are in there wrongly.
I'm on Zeke's side here also has anyone thought about what happened to the guys daughter? Makes me sadder how she was with him for 8 years...
