teh truth is always in teh center
The liberals for the middle classes, the communists for the poor and conservatives for the rich. I want a party for all of them dammit.
hey guys hey guys lets propose a bill requiring every driver to have car insurance for their car isn't that outrageous?
This is a good way to protest the health system, I find it crappy that it's mandatory. Opt-out would be great.
The liberals for the middle classes, the communists for the poor and conservatives for the rich. I want a party for all of them dammit.
does populist count? also that seems backwards, most of the poor and middle-class I know are tea-party type conservatives, and all the upper-middle class and upper-class people I've known or been acquainted with think socialism is the coolest thing around.
people may laugh at this post now but when the communists, nazis, UN, gays, muslims and jews launch their multipronged assault on america it won't be funny anymore now will it
sorry to burst your bubble but crime goes down when everyone has a gun
All I ever hear:
Don't they have something like that in Switzerland atm?
Don't they have something like that in Switzerland atm?
As I recall all of their men are required to serve a year or two in their army, and they can keep their rifle when they leave as long as they convert it to semi-automatic. edit: wish we'd done that in vietnam, everyone born in the 30's and 40's would have a flamethrower in a their closet somewhere.

It really goes to show how a firearm-rich culture can have very low crime thanks to education about the operation and handling of a firearm. And they are almost all "SCARY BLACK DEADLY MILITARY COP KILLING ASSAULT RIFLES WITH HIGH CAPACITY CLIPAZINES" no less. [editline]1st February 2011[/editline]
uh what if i don't want a gun
fuck you you will take your gun and you will LIKE IT mister
anyone here willing to elaborate on the culture, government, economy and media of switzerland? What is it they do specifically that makes them rational and forward thinking, or at least more so than Americans? Is it really just the education?
Why this kind of things never happen in Finland.
uh what if i don't want a gun
i think that is the idea
anyone here willing to elaborate on the culture, government, economy and media of switzerland?
if there are no poor people in switzerland then who works all the dining/retail/custodial jobs?
immigrants obviously if they are low wage jobs the average income in switzerland is 100,000 dollars a year
if there are no poor people in switzerland then who works all the dining/retail/custodial/everything besides banking and executive jobs?
working in the service industry doesn't make you poor. they probably have higher average wages across the board.
Great idea. Now when you get sick and can't pay for help, you can just shoot yourself! That is also a great way to reduce old people that gobble up funds for care and pay no taxes. Genius!

Looks like someone's in the need of making a little money...
... Shotgun!
They are stupid for not wanting healthcare, this bill did prove the mans point. My verdict is that this bill will fail.
I like this bill. Is the gun free?
They are stupid for not wanting healthcare.
Oh but don't you know? It's a tremendous waste of the public's money to create a health care system that ensures everyone has coverage and that is there to help anyone who suffers an injury or illness... or so I'm told. I don't suppose anyone bothered to sit down with him and explain how health coverage in order to preserve the lives of citizens (and the higher standard of comfortable living we as a civilization enjoy) is extremely important in the modern world. What's sad about this group of law makers, asides from their childish behavior, is that they were all elected to ANY public office to begin with. I, and many others, would expect them to behave with a higher degree of maturity. Evidently that's too much to ask for. It's really fucking annoying that this is still an issue for a country as massive and as important as the United States- considering that practically every other country in the Western Hemisphere (including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Canada, and even Cuba FFS) has already adopted a system of universal health care (for the record, Germany was the first under the Iron Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck, clear back in 1883 when he had his mass social reforms phase). [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] A little more on Germany's system, which the United States has basically decided to copy in the recent bill which was passed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_health_care#Germany
working in the service industry doesn't make you poor. they probably have higher average wages across the board.
Then prices should meet the higher wages. Relatively low wage jobs will always pay the bare minimum quality of life, as wages increase so do prices. This is a fundamental law of economics. Now it's all about Latin American banks for that purpose.
