Ron Paul 2012, otherwise Obama 2012.
I always see people posting "RON PAUL 2012" shit in US politics thread. I really doubt half of the people that post this sort've thing even know anything about the man besides the basic "YEAH SMALL GOVERNMENT, LEGALIZE DRUGS, NO WAR" bullshit.
Gingrich is the only Republican candidate who has a good chance against Obama. He's the only one I'm actually worried about.

This was predictable. However, I still think Romney will take the cake.
I don't think Romney would fare nearly that well against Obama. He won't get votes from a significant portion of religious republicans. Him or Paul would split, while Gingrich can unite the party.

Gingrich / Santorum 2012

He has a lousy track record with non-Republicans because, well, most people outside of the party think he's a piece of shit. Between his personal life and his mistakes during the 1990s, plus some of the more controversial views he has, he really can't steal the vote from the Independents and moderate Democrats like the Republicans need to to win.
Republicans: Whoever wins, the world loses.
Republicans: Whoever wins, the world loses.
I don't know man Huntsman was pretty cool and he was GOP

[editline]22nd January 2012[/editline]
To think that part of his surge was due to him flipping out at the media for asking him about his past marriage... To me personal issues like that are very important when judging a leader. I mean, He cheated on 2 wives.
That CNN moderator on Thursday night should have brought up the point that he had lead the fight to kick Clinton out of office for the same thing.

Why are people voting for him?
Religious republicans will vote a Mormon over Obama anyday.
Mormonism isn't considered Christianity by a large amount of folks over here. The media is tiptoeing around the religion subject because it can be thrown back at them for talking about it, but a whole lot of people think they're fucking crazy, moreso than members of other religions. It helps that for a lot of people it was, within recent memory, racist by definition (dark skin = curse) and is still hilariously creepy regarding their god populating the earth by fucking a harem of goddesses.
The fact that Gingrich won in South Carolina just shows how absolutely stupid the Republican party is.
That was inevitable, none of the remaining candidates are good, not even decent.
I don't know man Huntsman was pretty cool and he was GOP
I saw a table of their policies on the BBC, and I have to agree that if I had to choose a single republican to be president, it would be him. Still a republican, though. (Also he's far too moderate to actually stand a chance)

Voting for Obama is like voting for the anti-christ, and according to some, he is. They will vote for whomever gets the nomination.
Wow, fuck Gingrich. Why are people voting for him?
Well, there's this: And he also balanced the budget every year he was speaker.
This is just getting insane. Romney is the best republican candidate left (in my opinion, I could also see why others would go with Paul) Gingrich is just so awful. I mean, he is good at giving fiery responses in a debate. However, his elitist attitude and often rude and sometimes RACIST remarks just make my mind blown why anyone would think he would be a good leader and figure head of our country.
I don't think Romney would fare nearly that well against Obama. He won't get votes from a significant portion of religious republicans. They will vote for whoever wins the nomination.
So tons of Republicans would vote for Obama instead of PaulorRomney? Not at all. All I hear is NObama shit everywhere. They will vote for whoever wins the nomination.
Yeah, most people in this country vote across party lines.
So tons of Republicans would vote for Obama instead of PaulorRomney? Not at all. All I hear is NObama shit everywhere. They will vote for whoever wins the nomination.
The bloc that votes for Paul will not vote for other candidates.
I have tried to be sympathetic to Newt but shit, hes just such a asshole in general.
Yeah, most people in this country vote across party lines.
Actually, today more than ever there is a huge divide between parties. You can see it everywhere, tons of hate and bandwagoning and disagreement. You can see on the news, on facebook, even here. And when it comes time to vote, I bet you 8/10 voters will stick to their party affiliation. If anything, Romney could take some Obama votes since he is more moderate. Gingrich would lose the independent and moderate voters, causing an easy Obama win.
