Now just make quantum GPUs and we're all set.
"My shit can run Crysis better" gets a literal meaning
Well my shit can run the fucking stock market
Well my shit can run the fucking stock market
It can not, these benchmarks prove it:

lollololollol niece 1one!
Imagine the leap in real-time computer graphics if this was integrated successfully with our GPUs. Fucking shit, games would become limitless.
The need for distinction between CPU and GPU would disappear.
This does not compute.
Actually, I believe it does.
If we could integrate these into modern computers we could have games with dynamic environments to the atomic level by 2050....
:science: :iia:
[release]Using quantum interference – the vibrations of the atoms themselves – the team was able to run the complete discrete Fourier transform extremely quickly by encoding the inputs into an optically tailored vibrational wave packet which is then run through an excited iodine molecule whose atomic elements are oscillating at known intervals and picked up by a receiver on the other side.[/release]
Ow. Also awesome.
Interesting but I'm skeptical, especially not hearing about the circumstances for this to successfully occur. What kind of equipment are they dealing with and what factors inhibit the accuracy? Is it really plausible for use in computers. The article suggests yes, but you can never trust these types of articles.
How can I download a molecule to my computer so it faster????
thanks in need
One day, our computers will be made out of molecules

And then, the now sentient computers take over the world and trap humanity in a virtual reality.... :ohdear:
Nothing can run Crysis.
gimme
*drools*
Finally we'll get fembots will Artificial Intelligence that can run Crysis and feel love at the same time
Wow... The possibilities. :aaaaa:
This would make for some great galaxy simulators.
:aaaaa:
Based on my understanding of quantum computing, a quantum computer would be able to do calculations for particle physics and the like incredibly efficiently. Real time simulation of fully dynamic water, smoke, and light is a very real possibility in the foreseeable future.

HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.

Fuck that, complete universe simulations!
At this rate, Orion's Arm is going to be a historical documentary :buddy:
One day, our computers will be made out of molecules
They already are. Hell, even my dick is made of them.
I swear there's a crysis joke every time a thread on quantum computing pops up.
The question on whether or not a single molecule can run Crysis is both a valid and acceptable question. :science:

Throw some metal shavings into your case. Those have molecules in them.
I just installed 4 GB of molecules on my computer
Every molecule must be equal to a dual-quad core processor and 16GB of Ram. DAMN I'm a powerful computer! Too bad I crashed so many times that most of my apps don't work right...
Wow, I remember when they said it would be years before quantum computers reach the computing power of current PCs.
Except this isn't a quantum computer, it's just a molecule that... Computes. We can't get it to compute what WE want.
I remember hearing about this like a year ago, and they haven't made much progress since.
I'm skeptical.
LOL Try agen molocule, I got a MAC!!! !!1 !

I agree; the difference is only about a dozen zeroes tacked onto the end.
It's Literally Nothing!

It shows. :colbert:
